Puducherry Apr 24 PTI Puducherry which was maintaining a COVID-19 free record for some days reported three new cases on Sunday that took the overall caseload in the Union Territory to 165780 In a release Director of Health G Sriramulu said the department tested 318 samples during the last 24 hours and found three fresh cases The overall recoveries were 163815 in the Union Territory All the three patients are in home quarantine the official said The death toll remained 1962 The test positivity rate was 094 per cent and the recovery rate was 9881 per cent Sriramulu said the health department has examined a total of 2233010 samples till now and found 1877884 out of them to be negative The department has so far administered 1675166 doses which comprised 962850 first doses 693325 second doses and 18991 booster doses the Director said PTI COR KH HDA HDA

Puducherry Apr 22 PTI The union territory of Puducherry continued to remain COVID-19 free with nil active cases and zero fatalities being reported in the last 24 hours a senior Health department official said on Friday No new cases were recorded in any of the four regions-Puducherry Karaikal Mahe and Yanam- during the last 24 hours ending 10 AM Director of Health G Sriramulu said in a release The department examined 181 samples in the last 24 hours and did not find any fresh infections he added He said the cumulative caseload remained at 165777 and the overall recoveries stood at 163815 Sriramulu said the death toll also remained at 1962 as there were no virus-related fatalities The test positivity rate was zero and the fatality and recovery rates remained at 118 per cent and 9882 per cent respectively the Director said Sriramulu said that the Health department has so far administered 1669942 doses which comprised 962089 first doses 689307 second and 18546 booster doses PTI COR KH SS SS

Puducherry Oct 26 PTI Puducherry registered 41 fresh cases of coronavirus during the last 24 hours ending 10 am on Tuesday Puducherry and outlying regions of Karaikal Yanam and Mahe regions together reported the new cases raising overall tally to 127806The fresh cases were identified at the end of examination of 3122 samples While Puducherry region accounted for 20 new cases Karaikal registered 10 Yanam two and Mahe region recorded 9 cases Director of Health G Sriramulu said the active cases were 453 of whom 94 patients were in hospitals and the remaining 359 were in home isolation He said while 42 patients recovered and were discharged during the last twenty-four hours the overall recoveries stood at 125496 No fresh fatality was reported during last twenty- four hours from any of the regions Fatalities remained 1857 The Director said the department has examined 19 lakh samples so far and found 1605 lakh out of them to be negative The test positivity rate was 131 percent while the fatality and recovery rates were 145 percent and 9819 percent respectively The Director said the department has administered 1112237 doses so far and they comprised 722093 first doses and 390144 second doses PTI COR ROH ROH
