Frankfurt [Germany], January 25 (ANI): The Omicron variant replaced the Delta variant as the dominant COVID-19 variant in the world, starting from late 2021 to early 2022. But, the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant caused less severe disease than Delta, although it was better at escaping immune protection by vaccinations and previous infections.

However, according to research led by the University of Zurich, there is another way of achieving this immunity; by exposing yourself to the harmless coronaviruses.
