Sports Authority of India 'A' will take on Sports Authority of India 'B' and Har Hockey Academy will take on Pritam Siwach Sports Promotion Foundation in the semi-finals.
Ghumenrahera Riser's Academy defeated Citizen Hockey XI 16-1 in Pool A. The second Pool A match, between Sports Authority of India 'A' and Har Hockey Academy, was won by Sports Authority of India 'A' by an 8-0 score. Sports Authority of India 'B' defeated Sports Authority of Gujarat 9-0 in Pool B. Sports Hostel Odisha defeated Bhai Bhelo Hockey Academy Bhagta 9-0 in the second match of Pool B.
In Pool A, Sports Authority of India 'A' secured a comprehensive 28-0 victory against Citizen Hockey XI, in the first encounter of the day. Kajal (2', 3', 5', 26', 34', 44', 45', 56', 57') led the offence for SAI with nine goals.
In the opening game, Smart Hockey Academy kickstarted the day with an 18-2 win against Bhai Behlo Hockey Academy. While Captain Komal (9', 54') scored both goals for Bhai Behlo Hockey Academy, it was Anjani (13', 17', 29', 30', 39', 45', 48', 50', 56', 58', 60') who scored eleven goals and Loveleen (4', 7', 41' 44') with another four leading the charge for Smart Hockey Academy.
The League will see 16 teams divided into Pool A and Pool B vie for top honours. This will be the 1st phase of the League which will go on till 23rd August with each winning team being awarded three points, one point for each team in the event of a draw and zero points for the losing side.
