Noida Dec 24 PTI Two children aged 2 and 6 years died due to burn injuries during a bonfire outside their house in Uttar Pradeshs Noida police said on FridayA third child aged 8 years who too was with them at the bonfire is currently hospitalised in Delhi with burn injuries they saidThe incident took place Thursday evening at Gejha village under Phase 2 police station limits when the children were sitting around the bonfire outside their house amid cold weather while the elders were inside a police spokesperson saidSuddenly woollen clothes of the 2-year-old child caught fire leading to severe burn injuries to her The other two children both siblings tried to save her but their clothes also caught fire in the process the spokesperson saidThe house belonged to the family of the girl while the family of the other two children lived there as tenants according to officialsSoon the family members of the chidlren heard their cries and rushed out to help them They immediately rushed the children to a nearby private hospital from where they were referred to Safdarjung hospital in Delhi the spokesperson saidAt the Safdarjung hospital two of the children aged 2 and 6 succumbed to the injuries while the third one is still undergoing treatment with severe burn injuries the official saidThe family reported the matter to the police Friday morning and legal proceedings in the matter were being carried out the official addedPTI KIS SRY

Noida Sep 18 PTI A woman was killed and four others were injured after a bus they were travelling in to work overturned in Greater Noida Saturday morning police saidThe bus was ferrying around 25 to 30 women employees of a private company when the incident took place near Tilpatta roundabout in Surajpur area at 530 am they said The driver suddenly lost control and the vehicle hit the divider after which it overturned on the road A woman around 20-years-old died in the crash a police spokesperson said Four other women suffered minor injuries in the episode They were taken to a medical facility and later discharged he said Senior police officials from Central Noida zone visited the spot immediately The driver of the bus is absconding police said adding that further legal proceedings are being carried out The bus has been removed from the site with the help of a crane and normal traffic resumed on the road stretch they addedPTI KIS SRY
