Division Bench of the Kerala High Court on Tuesday stayed the order of the Single Bench which directed to include the representative of the Chancellor in the Search Committee of the Kerala Technological University (KTU) for the appointment of Vice-Chancellor.
The Kerala government had requested the court to stay the appointment that was ordered by Kerala Governor Arif Muhammad Khan, chancellor of the state universities.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan Governor Arif Mohammed Khan is responsible if University Grants Commission rules were flouted during the appointment of vice-chancellors of all nine universities.
