Binoy Viswam, in a letter to the Union Finance Minister, said, "I write this letter to express my protest and to vehemently oppose the absurd decision of the Finance Ministry to limit the pre-Budget consultation meeting with the trade unions for just 75 minutes alone, that too in virtual mode. This arbitrary move to call the meeting virtually, even after easing all Covid restrictions, must also be reconsidered."
According to the letter, of which ANI has possession, the trade unions expressed disappointment for calling the Pre-Budget meeting on virtual mode despite complete easing of Covid restrictions, and that too for 75 minutes only for a consultation involving more than 12 central trade unions.
He also appealed to them to take care of the trust that Prime Minister Narendra Modi keeps in them to build 'Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat' and work being a 'Karmoyogi' as PM Modi desires.
