A team of 150 devotees headed by Karnataka Minister CN Ashwath Narayanan offered a silver brick brought from their native place to the Ram Mandir in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya on Thursday.
Ayodhya : Festival of lights, Deepotsav, will be held at Ayodhya tomorrow when around 12 lakh diyas would be lit up to mark the Diwali celebration. Union Minister for Culture and Tourism G. Kishan Reddy will participate in the Deepotsav programme on the invitation of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
UP Governor Anandiben Patel, CM, along with several state ministers and other dignitaries would participate in the religious function.
Officials here on Tuesday said the administration will attempt to make a new record by lighting up 12 lakh diyas (earthen lämps) all over the Ayodhya City.
