Bangladesh team were doing well at one stage when there was a partnership between captain Litton Das and Shakib Al Hasan. When these two were batting then Bangladesh were 95/3 but after Shakib's wicket the hosts' batting fell like nine pins reducing them to 136/9 from there on Miraz played an unbelievable knock of 38 off 39 balls and remaining unbeaten right till the end hitting four boundaries and two sixes.

In the seventh over of Bangladesh's chase at Adelaide Oval, Litton Das played the ball off Axar Patel in the direction of the deep off-side field. Arshdeep Singh threw the ball, and Kohli, who was positioned at point, attempted a shy at the stumps as the ball passed him. The on-field umpires Marais Erasmus and Chris Brown didn't do anything about it at the time, and neither did the Bangladesh batsmen (Najmul Hossain Shanto and Litton Das).
Virat (64*) and KL Rahul (50) posted fifties for India while Suryakumar Yadav also scored a quickfire 30 of 16 balls. Virat and KL Rahul had a 67-run stand for the second wicket.
