Itanagar Feb 24 PTI Arunachal Pradeshs COVID-19 tally rose to 64372 on Thursday as 31 more people tested positive for the infection a senior health official said Twenty-four new cases were registered in Namsai four in Lower Subansiri and one each in Kamle and Lohit and the Capital Complex region The death toll remained unchanged at 296 as no fresh fatality was recorded State Surveillance Officer Dr Lobsang Jampa said Arunachal Pradesh now has 239 active cases while 63837 people have recovered from the disease so far including 38 on Wednesday he said The recovery rate among the coronavirus patients marginally improved to 9917 per cent from 9916 per cent on the previous day Namsai district has the highest number of active cases at 42 followed by 36 in the Capital Complex region and 21 in Dibang Valley The state has thus far tested over 1262 lakh samples for COVID-19 including 990 on Wednesday Jampa said adding that the positivity rate dipped to 313 per cent from 477 per cent on the previous day State Immunisation Officer Dr Dimong Padung said that 1631 lakh people been vaccinated so far At least 78535 beneficiaries in the 15-18 years age group have been vaccinated and 22631 senior citizens have received the booster jab thus far PTI UPL ACD ACD

Itanagar Feb 22 PTI Arunachal Pradesh recorded more single-day COVID-19 recoveries than fresh cases as 69 people recuperated from the disease while 34 fresh infections pushed the tally to 64313 a senior health department official said here on Tuesday A total of 63750 people have recovered from COVID-19 so far he said The COVID-19 death toll in the frontier state remained at 296 as no fresh fatality was reported in the last 24 hours State Surveillance Officer SSO Dr Lobsang Jampa said Of the 34 fresh cases six each were reported from Lower Dibang Valley Longding and Namsai three each from Capital Complex Region Lower Subansiri and West Kameng two each from Lohit and Lower Dibang Valley and one each from Tawang Tirap and Upper Siang district respectively the official said Arunachal Pradesh currently has 267 active COVID-19 cases the official said The COVID-19 recovery rate marginally improved to 9912 per cent from 9907 per cent the previous day The Capital Complex Region comprising Itanagar Naharlagun Nirjuli and Banderdewa areas has the highest number of active cases at 42 followed by West Kameng 33 Namsai 28 Tawang 26 and Dibang Valley 23 A total of 1260532 samples have been tested for the infection in the state so far including 803 on Monday Jampa said adding that the positivity ratio further dipped to 423 per cent from 456 per cent the previous day State Immunisation Officer SSO Dr Dimong Padung said 1627598 people have been inoculated with COVID-19 vaccine so far PTI UPL RG RG

Itanagar Jan 26 PTI Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday reported 526 new COVID-19 cases 142 less than the previous day pushing the tally to 60598 a senior official said here The frontier state had recorded 668 cases on Tuesday the official said The COVID-19 death toll increased to 284 after one more person succumbed to the disease State Surveillance Officer SSO Dr Lobsang Jampa said Of the 526 new cases 225 were registered in the Capital Complex Region 42 in Lower Subansiri 38 in Namsai 36 in Lohit 30 in West Kameng and 28 in Lower Dibang Valley district Among the new cases 483 were detected through rapid antigen test 24 through RT-PCR process and 19 through TrueNAT method Jampa said adding that 278 of them have developed Covid symptoms Altogether 56851 people have recuperated from the disease including 375 on Tuesday the SSO said adding that the recovery rate in the northeastern state stood at 9382 per cent Arunachal Pradesh currently has 3463 active COVID-19 cases The northeastern state has been witnessing a spurt in coronavirus infections since January 4 with 5246 new cases reported so far The Capital Complex Region comprising Itanagar Naharlagun Nirjuli and Banderdewa areas has the highest number of active cases at 1409 followed by West Kameng at 231 Namsai at 224 Lower Dibang Valley 196 Papumpare 188 and Changlang at 182 cases A total of 1230582 samples have been tested in the state including 1759 on Tuesday the official said adding that the positivity ratio clocked 2990 per cent According to State Immunisation Officer Dr Dimong Padung as many as 1567529 people have been inoculated with COVID-19 vaccine thus far At least 45977 beneficiaries in the age group of 15-18 years have been vaccinated with the first dose and 14065 senior citizens have received the booster jab PTI UPL RG RG

Itanagar Jan 20 PTI The state cabinet on Thursday decided to confer the highest state award Arunachal Ratna on Late K A A Raja the first Lt Governor of Arunachal Pradesh for his immense and unforgettable contributions to the socio-economic and political development of the frontier state Commemorating the launch of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Arunachal Pradesh as an independent identity the cabinet meeting which was held at Ziro in Lower Subansiri district decided to provide financial assistance to 500 top performing women Self Help Groups through fixed deposit of Rs 1 lakh each to strengthen social capital base and take up economic activities The meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pema Khandu also decided to provide financial assistance to 300 Primary Level Federations through capital subsidy deposit of Rs 2 lakh each for procurement of goods transport vehicle for use by their respective constituent SHGs a communiqu from the CMO said The state cabinet also agreed to formulate district level Good Governance Index through engaging an experienced knowledge partner for strengthening all round development and improve ease of living of the citizens It also decided to identify and select 50 existing government schools based on professionally determined criteria for being developed as Golden Jubilee Model Schools subject to maximum ceiling of Rs 12 crore expenditure per school at an estimated cost and allocation of Rs 500 crore approximately Among other important decisions the cabinet resolved to complete and inaugurate 365 physical infrastructure projects within the Golden Jubilee year period from January 20 2022 to 20 January 20 2023 It also decided to provide recognition through a sum of Rs 2 lakh as Golden Jubilee Merit Award to any Arunachalee student completing class 12 Board examination from schools of the state on qualifying National Level Entrance Examination and securing admission to IITs IIMs NLUs and AIIMS The cabinet agreed to establish Arunachal Pradesh Infrastructure Financing Authority to meet development needs of the state It also decided to provide an additional fixed deposit of Rs 5000 as top-up amount over the existing Rs 20000 under the Dulari Kanya Scheme to Golden Jubilee Daughters who are born between January 20 2022 and January 20 2023 and are fully immunized the communiqu added PTI UPL RG RG
