Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], August 13 (ANI/PNN): The city of Chennai has been chosen to host India's biggest pageant for men - Rubaru Mr India in the month of October. The national finals of the prestigious competition will take place on October 5, 2022, at the hotel Crowne Plaza Chennai Adyar Park. Chennai was announced as the host city for this year's Rubaru Mr India competition by the vice president of the Rubaru Mr India organization, Pankaj Kharbanda, in the press conference held on August 12 at Crowne Plaza Adyar Park. It is for the very first time in history that the Southern part of India will host this prominent national event. In the past, states like Maharashtra, Goa and Haryana and the national capital, New Delhi, have hosted this colossal event. Candidates from different states of India will travel to Chennai to compete for the coveted title of Mr India 2022.

Chennai (Tamil Nadu)[India], May 18 (ANI): With an aim to promote the upcoming 44th Chess Olympiad and popularise chess in the country, All India Chess Federation (AICF) will organise state-level tournaments for school children across India in the next couple of months to select 268 students who will get once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to interact with international chess stars and watch the world's biggest chess event unfolding live for the first time in India, scheduled in Mahabalipuram near Chennai, from July 28 to August 10.
Chennai (Tamil Nadu)[India], May 14 (ANI): All India Chess Federation (AICF) President Sanjay Kapoor and Apoorva, IAS, Principal Secretary (Youth Welfare & Sports) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Tamil Nadu Government in the presence of the Chief Minister MK Stalin for the forthcoming 44th Chess Olympiad slated to be held in Chennai from July 28 to August 10.
