Puducherry Mar 19 PTI The union territory of Puducherry logged five fresh coronavirus cases during the last 24 hours pushing the overall caseload to 165771 a senior Health department official said on Saturday The union territory had not recorded any new infections in the last two days The five new cases were identified at the end of the examination of 329 samples Director of Health G Sriramulu said in a release While Puducherry reported four infections Mahe logged the remaining one Karaikal and Yanam did not add any new cases he said The number of active cases stood at 13 Three patients recovered during the last 24 hours and the overall recoveries rose to 163796 The Health department Director said there were no new fatalities in the last 24 hours and the death toll remained at 1962 The Health Department has so far tested 2225393 samples and has found 1870085 out of them to be negative The test positivity rate was 152 per cent while fatality and recovery rates were 118 per cent and 9881 per cent respectively The Department has so far administered 1610820 doses comprising 934029 first doses 663569 second and 13222 booster doses PTI Cor SS SS
Puducherry Feb 25 PTI Puducherry recorded 14 fresh cases of COVID-19 on Friday taking the overall tally in the Union Territory to 165690 In a press release Director of Health G Sriramulu said the fresh cases were identified after examining 1689 samples The cases were reported in Puducherry 12 and Yanam two Karaikal and Mahe regions did not not register any fresh case the Director said The active cases in the UT stood at 202 comprising 19 patients undergoing treatment in hospitals and 183 patients recovering in home quarantine Sriramulu said 39 patients have been discharged and the overall recoveries so far were 163528 No fresh fatality was reported in the UT in the last 24 hours and the death toll remained at 1960 The test positivity rate was 083 per cent while the fatality and recovery rates were 118 per cent and 9870 per cent respectively The health department has tested 2210874 samples so far and found 1855951 samples to be negative The Director said the department has administered 1585584 doses till now which comprised 930624 first doses 642703 second doses and 12257 booster doses PTI COR HDA HDA
