Indore Nov 23 PTI Four fully-vaccinated Army officers two of them participating in a course of the Indian Institute of Management IIM tested positive for coronavirus in Madhya Pradeshs Indore district an official said on Tuesday Four Army officers have tested positive for coronavirus in the last three days in Indore They had received both doses of the anti-COVID-19 vaccine They have no symptoms and their condition is fine said Dr Amit Malakar nodal officer COVID-19 Indore He said two of the infected officers are residents of the Army Cantonment located in nearby Mhow town and two others are enrolled for the IIM Indores Certificate Course in Business Management for Defence Officers CCBMDO Meanwhile the IIM administration has decided to stop the offline classes and will conduct them virtually As a precautionary measure we have decided to conduct online classes instead of offline for a batch of 60 participants of CCBMDO course after some of them tested positive for the pandemic IIM Indore director Himanshu Rai said He however said that participants in the current batch of CCBMDO were not staying at the IIM campus A separate classroom was arranged on the campus for them he added Those who had come in contact with the participating Army officers during the study at the IIM campus have tested negative for coronavirus he said In another development a 69-year-old fully vaccinated woman succumbed to the COVID-19 infection in Indore on Saturday Malakar said adding that she died at Mhows Military Hospital With the latest fatality the number of people who have succumbed to COVID-19 in the Indore district so far went up to 1393 Indore district recorded 153299 COVID-19 cases since March 24 2020 PTI HWP ADU NSK NSK
Indore Sep 24 PTI At least 30 persons have tested positive for coronavirus in Mhow cantonment area in Madhya Pradeshs Indore district in the last 24 hours a health official said on Friday While the infected persons are asymptomatic they have been isolated and are being treated at the Mhow military hospital nodal officer for the prevention of COVID-19 Dr Amit Malakar said The health authorities were alerted after as many as 30 cases emerged from the area in 24 hours the official said Without revealing much about the patients Malakar said the infected persons have taken both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and had travelled to Mhow from different parts of the country A total of 32 fresh cases of COVID-19 were detected in Indore district in the last 24 hours of which 30 were from Mhow cantonment area alone Indore was once the worst affected district in the state during the COVID-19 pandemic As per a health bulletin the district has recorded 153140 COVID-19 cases so far including 1391 casualties PTI HWP MAS ARU ARU
