Pune Jan 29 PTI An IAS officer was arrested on Saturday in connection with alleged manipulation of the results of the Maharashtra governments Teachers Eligibility Test TET held in 2020 an official said hereSushil Khodwekar 47 now posted as deputy secretary with the agriculture department had allegedly taken money from some of the accused and ordered removal of a firm from the blacklist he saidHe was arrested from Thane by Pune Polices cyber wing which is probing the case This is the 13th arrest in the caseOn Friday the investigators had said the marks of 7800 TET-2020 candidates were manipulated by the accused for money The test was part of the recruitment process for teachers postsThose arrested include Tukaram Supe commissioner now suspended of the Maharashtra State Council of Examinations MSCE Pritesh Deshmukh director of G A Software which was responsible for conducting the test and Abhishek Sawrikar a consultant with the education departmentKhodwekar posted with the education department when the scam unfolded allegedly received lakhs of rupees from the other accused said inspector Kumar Ghadge of the Pune cyber police stationG A Software had been blacklisted by the government earlier But Khodwekar allegedly gave instructions to Supe to remove it from the blacklist he saidPritesh Deshmukh and Supe through co-accused Manoj Dongare allegedly paid lakhs of rupees to Khodwekar the official saidTechnical analysis of mobile phones of Sawarikar and Deshmukh also threw some light on Khodwekars involvement said inspector GhadgeA court remanded the IAS officer in police custody till January 31 and further probe is on he said PTI COR NP KRK KRK

Pune Jan 28 PTI Investigation into the alleged malpractices in the results of the Teachers Eligibility Test TET-2020 in Maharashtra has revealed that the marks of as many as 7800 candidates were allegedly manipulated and changed in exchange of money a top police official said on Friday A report has been prepared in this connection and it will be submitted to the state government Pune Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta said During the investigation of the alleged scam the names of 7800 candidates came to light whose marks were manipulated We have prepared a list of all these people and it will be given to the state government he said The marks of these candidates were allegedly tampered with in exchange of money he said Tukaram Supe Commissioner now suspended of the Maharashtra State Council of Examinations MSCE was among those arrested in connection with the alleged tampering of the TET-2020 results Police have also arrested Pritesh Deshmukh director of G A Software the firm which was responsible for conducting the exam and Abhishek Sawrikar a consultant with the education department Gupta said more people are expected to be arrested in the case Police inspector Kumar Ghadge of Cyber police station said that so far 12 people including Supe Sawrikar and Deshmukh have been arrested in the case and over Rs 4 crore in cash gold ornaments and other documents related to the fixed deposits have been recovered in the case PTI SPK NP NP
