Chandigarh Mar 31 PTI Haryana Agriculture Minister J P Dalal on Thursday launched the portal of Mukhya Mantri Bagwani Bima Yojana Under this scheme farmers will be compensated for the damage caused to their crops due to adverse weather and natural calamities he said He said that adverse weather and natural calamities like hailstorm adverse temperature frost flood cloudburst breakage of canaldrain water logging high wind velocity and fire which cause crop loss were included in this scheme Dalal said that 21 crops are covered under this scheme-- 14 vegetables tomato onion potato cauliflower peas carrot okra bottle gourd bitter gourd brinjal green chilli capsicum cabbage radish 2 spices turmeric garlic and five fruits mango kinnow berry guava lychee The minister said the Haryana Government will promote organic farming in a big way to enhance the income of farmers For promoting this it has been decided to create a separate wing in the Agriculture Department This wing will pay special attention to the quality and increase the productivity of food grains in the state Besides this for farmers a training programme would be chalked out and separate clusters will also be formed he said after launching the portal of Mukhya Mantri Bagwani Bima Yojana The minister also said that farmers of the state would also be encouraged for diversification of crops According to an official statement Dalal said that the Yojana will be optional for all those farmers who will get registered under Meri Fasal Mera Byora Under the scheme the sum assured will be Rs 30000 per acre for vegetables and spices and Rs 40000 per acre for fruits The farmers contributionshare will be only 25 per cent of the assured amount which is Rs 750 per acre in vegetables and Rs 1000 per acre in fruits he said The Agriculture Minister said that the compensation has been divided into four categories 25 per cent 50 per cent 75 per cent and 100 per cent Dalal informed that Rs 10 crore will be kept by the government as initial capital for the scheme Compensation amount will be based on survey Monitoring of the scheme review and resolution of disputes will be done through the state-level and district-level committees constituted under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana he said He said that the State Government is committed to implement farmer friendly schemes and policies PTI SUN MR MR
Chandigarh Dec 22 PTI Haryana Agriculture Minister J P Dalal on Wednesday said that mapping work is being done for all the land holdings in the state Through this initiative registration of all farmers is being done on the Meri Fasal Mera Byora government portal After getting the complete records of these lands it will be up to the convenience of the farmers mandis sales centres etc for other centres to be set up Dalal said The Agriculture Minister was replying to a calling attention motion moved in the winter session of the Vidhan Sabha on Wednesday by opposition Congress MLAs Opposition legislators Varun Chaudhary and Amit Sihag said when the farmers register their land for agriculture produce it is verified by the agriculture revenue departments and satellite imagery is also taken and in case of any discrepancy the burden of proof is on the farmer who is not enlightened about the same until he reaches the grain market at the time of selling his produce They said there is no provision for the farmer to know the status of quantum of registration under the portal and pointed out that a majority of land in Haryana is held in mushtarka held in common by shareholders So it becomes a huge task for the peasants to get it registered on the portal when another shareholder has already got himself registered on it INLD leader Abhay Singh Chautala also pointed out that the portal is like the way three farm laws which were brought without consulting farmers In the same manner without consulting farmers and traders this portal was launched and now farmers are facing problems However Minister Dalal said the Meri Fasal Mera Byora is a flagship scheme of the state government in which farmers register themselves to sell their crops at the MSP rates and get other benefits of agriculture and other allied departments He said it is not correct to say that there is no provision for the farmer to know the status of the quantity of registration under the portal The farmer can view the details filled by him during the registration of the crop and he can get the printout The Agriculture Minister informed that where the land holding exists in the form of mushtarka there is a provision in the portal for the shareholders to register themselves by mentioning the same Shareholders can decide among themselves on who is going to register how many shares he said Now this portal has become an umbrella platform for almost all the benefits including MPM Mera Pani Meri Virasat Direct Seed Rice Bajra Replacement and Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana Uttam Beej Seed Development etc he said The main objective of launching the portal was to bring people on an online platform where farmers and government can come together and peasants can get timely subsidyfinancial assistance or other benefits for growing their crops Dalal said The subsidyfinancial assistance is directly deposited in the bank account of the farmers via this portal through direct bank treasury or e-procurement Minister said He informed that the portal has been developed in such a way that it has taken care of all the existing problems of the farmers especially in the area of procurement Farmers can now select the nearest mandis through this portal at the time of procurement at MSP and schedule their arrivalMSP is paid for the sale of their produce PTI SUN HDA
Chandigarh Sep 28 PTI The Haryana government will include bajra from this Kharif season under the Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana Chief Minister M L Khattar said on Tuesday Haryana is the first state to implement this scheme he said adding that the decision has been taken in the interest of the farmers of the state Earlier Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana has also been implemented for horticulture crops in Haryana Twenty-one horticultural crops have been included in this scheme an official statement said Khattar said the minimum support price for bajra has been fixed at Rs 2250 per quintal by the central government Whereas the neighbouring States of Rajasthan and Punjab have not made any plan for the procurement of bajra this time also and it seems that they will not purchase it this time as well In such a situation there is a possibility of bajra coming from these states to be sold in Haryana Therefore it has been decided to compensate only those farmers of Haryana State who have registered on Meri Fasal-Mera Byora portal he said In Kharif-season 2021 271 lakh farmers have registered on Meri Fasal-Mera Byora portal for bajra In this season the government will procure seven crops at the minimum support price paddy maize moong urad toor sesame and groundnut In Kharif crops in addition to bajra the purchase of moong maize and paddy will start from October 1 and the purchase of groundnut will start from November Notably to avail the benefits of the Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana the states farmers have to register themselves on Meri Fasal Mera Byora MFMB portal and if they get a price lower than the price fixed by government for their crop on its sale in the mandis the difference is paid as incentive to the farmers directly into their bank accounts PTI SUN MR MR MR
