Washington [US], September 12 (ANI): Researchers who previously discovered channels in the skull have found that cerebrospinal fluid can exit the brain through these channels to reach the skull's bone marrow, which can detect and respond to infection or injury. Tapping into this process may help investigators study and treat inflammation-related brain conditions.
Boston [Massachusetts], March 30 (ANI): New research led by the Massachusetts General Hospital has found that B cells in the bone marrow, which produce a chemical messenger called acetylcholine can prevent inflammation in the heart and blood vessels by blocking white blood cell production. This process might help scientists target inflammation in cardiovascular conditions.
