New Delhi Mar 25 PTI Majority of the schemes under the Women and Child Development Department were on track according to the Delhi governments Outcome Budget for 2021-22 presented in the Assembly on Friday Out of 69 indicators for assessment 80 per cent were on track it said According to the report about 310 lakh women in distress were given monthly financial assistance in 2021-22 as against 281 lakh such women in 2020-21 About 1600 poor widows were given financial assistance of Rs 30000 each for marriage of their daughters while 43659 girls were enrolled under the Ladli scheme till December 2021 Under the scheme 16505 maturity cases have been paid till the third quarter of the year About 1391 lakh children and pregnantnursing mothers are receiving services of nutrition vaccination health services and pre-school activities at 10896 functioning anganwadi centres under ICDS it said Under the Delhi Commission for Women 219 mahila panchayats were established it added Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Manish Sisodia presented the Outcome Budget for the year 2021-22 in the Legislative Assembly PTI SLB SMN SMN

New Delhi Mar 25 PTI At least 29 per cent of the sewage generated in Delhi in the financial year 2021-22 fell into the Yamuna river untreated according to the Outcome Budget presented in the Assembly on FridayThe amount of untreated sewage that fell into the river in Delhi was 28 per cent in2019-20 and 26 per cent in 2020-21Government data also showed that only six out of the 35 sewage treatment plants STPs in the capital met the prescribed standards for wastewaterbiological oxygen demand 10 milligram per litre and total dissolved solids 10 mg per litre in 2021-22 till December endThe Delhi Jal Board DJB is upgrading and rehabilitating the existing STPs to be able to meet the prescribed norms and reduce the pollution load in the Yamuna It had set a target of at least nine STPs meeting the standards this fiscalThe 22-km stretch of the Yamuna between Wazirabad and Okhla which is less than 2 per cent of the river length of 1370 kms from Yamunotri to Allahabad accounts for around 80 per cent of the pollution load in the riverUntapped wastewater from unauthorised colonies and jhuggi-jhopri clusters and poor quality of treated wastewater discharged from STPs and common effluent treatment plants are the main reasons behind high levels of pollution in the riverDelhi generates around 748 million gallons of wastewater per day The 35 STPs at 20 locations across Delhi can treat up to 597 MGD of sewage and have been utilising around 90 per cent of their capacityThe data also showed the DJBs average water production decreased from 9273 MGD in 2020-21 to 92505 MGD this year due to frequent pollution in the Yamuna from neighbouring states and less flow in the canals carrying water to the capital from neighbouring statesThe government also said the amount of non-revenue water NRW in Delhi has increased to a three-year-high of 55 per cent in the financial year 2021-22 up to December end due to less billing in view of the COVID-19 pandemicThe average water production decreased from 9273 MGD in 2020-21 to 92505 MGD in 2021-22 due to frequent pollution in the Yamuna and less flow in Delhi Sub Branch and Carrier Lined Channel from time to timeThe average water production was 90908 MGD in 2019-20 The DJB had set a target of supplying 935 MGD this financial yearThe percentage of unbilled water or NRW increased to 55 per cent this fiscal due to non-billing of consumers in the fourth quarter of 2020-21 and the first quarter of 2021-22 due to COVID-19 and non-availability of the billing agency and less billing in December 2021As a result the revenue collection dipped from Rs 1637 crore in 2019-20 and Rs 1774 crore in 2020-21 to Rs 108516 crore this financial yearMostly government consumers paid in the last quarter of the financial year 2021-22 thats why the collection is not up to the mark the status report read PTI GVS DIV DIV

New Delhi Mar 25 PTI Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Manish Sisodia presented the status report of the Outcome Budget for the year 2021-22 in the Legislative Assembly on Friday Sisodia said they were the first to introduce the Outcome Budget wherein they put out details of the status of various projects undertaken by the government It is a General Knowledge question Which is the government that promises and also delivers them Except for some MLAs everyone knows the answer to this question he told the House in an apparent reference to the Opposition members While presenting the status report he said the city government constructed 13181 classrooms in its schools while the number of students enrolled in government schools rose from 15 lakh to 18 lakhNearly 80000 applications for 4800 seats were received for the 31 schools of excellence The Deshbhakti curriculum has been implemented in all government schools and will be implemented in private schools from the next year said Sisodia who is also Delhis Education Minister PTI VIT SLB CK
