New Delhi Feb 27 PTI A 22-year-old man was stabbed to death in Paschim Vihar by his friend over a knife he had bought police on Sunday said The deceased identified as Sanjay was stabbed in the west Delhi area Saturday night police said They said they registered a case of murder against two accused based on the statements and the medico-legal report which showed that the injury caused was sharp and fatal According to the testimony of the deceased he had received a call around 10 pm from his friends Pawan and Nikhil inviting him for a round of drinks police said When Sanjay reached the spot the two men were already under the influence of alcohol a senior police officer said While drinking an argument started between Sanjay and Pawan during which Pawan stabbed Sanjay with a knife in the stomach and fled with Nikhil on his motorcycle he said Sanjay was rushed to a hospital by his friend Sagar on a motorcycle where he later succumbed said Deputy Commissioner of Police Outer Parvinder Singh After several raids Pawan and Nikhil were arrested he said During interrogation they revealed that they were jealous of Sanjay who had bought an expensive and fancy knife Pawan wanted the knife for himself and had asked Sanjay several times to lend it to him but he kept refusing always So Pawan decided to take the knife from Sanjay after threatening him in front of his other friends As per the plan he called his friends for a round of drinks He also called Sanjay using another friends phone There after they had a few drinks a quarrel broke out between him and Sanjay and Pawan stabbed him the DCP said PTI AMP VN VN

New Delhi Oct 18 PTI Two men were arrested for allegedly robbing a street hawker in west Delhis Nagnloi area police said on MondayThe accused have been identified as Ankit 30 a resident of Sultanpuri and Riyaz 25 a resident of Nangloi they saidComplainant Mohammad Faheem who is a garment seller told police that on Thursday around 920 pm he along with his nephew was going from Sultanpuri to his home in Nangloi after selling clothesHe was carrying Rs 16000 cash and one mobile phone a senior police officer saidWhen they reached near the railway line Nangloi crossing a train was passing and they had to wait to cross the tracks police saidMeanwhile four people who were also standing near the railway lines came there Two of them caught Faheem and his nephew from the neck while the others took the cash and the mobile phone from his pocket and fled the officer said During investigation police received information on Saturday that two out of the four were present near the Sultanpuri Jhuggi area Thereafter police conducted a raid and nabbed two persons Deputy Commissioner of Police outer Parvinder Singh saidThe accused have previous criminal involvements A part of the robbed cash was recovered from them police said adding that their associates are yet to be arrested PTI NIT KJ
New Delhi Sep 22 PTI An 18-year-old man was arrested and three juveniles were apprehended after they allegedly stabbed three people killing one of them in northwest Delhis Mangolpuri area police said on WednesdayAccording to the police they found Yashish 22 and Raj Kumar 42 both residents of Mangolpuri with stab wounds on Sunday and took them to the Sanjay Gandhi HospitalAnother Mangolpuri resident Mihir 18 was found admitted with stab injuries too a senior police officer saidYashish told the police that that he was sitting outside his house when around four people tried to snatch his mobile phone When he resisted he was stabbed by one of them the officer saidMeanwhile his neighbour Raj Kumar tried to intervene and he was also stabbed The accused then escaped from the spot the police saidThey had a scuffle with Mihir at a nearby place and stabbed him too the officer saidTwo separate cases under relevant sections were registered at the Mangolpuri police station and an investigation was taken up the police saidDuring the investigation all four accused were apprehended Out of them three were juveniles The knife used in the crime was recovered at their instance Deputy Commissioner of Police outer Parvinder Singh saidThe accused revealed that Yashish had beaten one of their associates and hence they took revenge They also said that Mihir along with his associates wanted to assault them and that is why they stabbed him the DCP saidKumar succumbed to injuries on Wednesday morning at the Jaipur Golden Hospital and section 302 murder has been added in the FIR PTI NIT IJT
