Nagaland govt seeks info on Nagas stranded in Ukraine

Kohima Feb 27 PTI Nagaland government has sought information about any person from the state stranded in Ukraine and needs help for evacuation from the war-torn country The Home Department in an advisory issued by the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority NSDMA said the details of any persons from Nagaland who may be stranded in Ukraine and needs to be evacuated and owing to the prevailing situation there may be provided to the helpline numbers 0370-22911222291120 or through email seocnsdmagmailcom and sdmanagalandgmailcom Official sources said that till date there is no information about any such person and therefore the advisory has been issued for necessary follow-up measures Meanwhile Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton on Sunday conveyed his willingness to extend any possible help to anyone from Nagaland studying travelling or working in Ukraine who is left stranded in the war torn country or those who could have fled Ukraine and taken shelter in neighbouring countries Patton said he would coordinate with the officials of the Ministry of External Affairs and Embassies in foreign countries to bring back our brothers and sisters For this the Deputy Chief Minister has asked the parents and relatives of those who may be stranded there and needing assistance to send proper details of such persons through parents or through the office of the Naga Students Federation to him A local newspaper here Eastern Mirror on Sunday reported that one Machu Yirackchang from Poilwa village of Peren district Nagaland who is pursuing medical studies at I Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University was stranded in Ukraine He is travelling to Poland to catch the flight to India the newspaper had reported PTI NBS RG RG

39 new cases take Nagalands COVID tally to 31811

Kohima Oct 29 PTI Nagaland on Friday reported 39 new COVID-19 cases 26 more than the previous day with the tally rising to 31811 an official said Of the new cases 24 were reported from Dimapur nine from Mokokchung five from Kohima and one from Peren The death toll remained at 684 as no new fatality due to the infection was recorded in the last 24 hours he said At least 20 patients recuperated from the disease during the period taking the total number of recoveries to 29864 The recovery rate among coronavirus patients in the state is currently at 9387 per cent the official said Nagaland now has 222 active cases and 1041 COVID patients migrated to other states Over 394 lakh samples have so far been tested for the infection in the northeastern state State Immunisation Officer Dr Ritu Thurr said 1195304 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to 709657 people till Thursday PTI NBS BDC BDC

Kohima Oct 22 PTI Nagaland on Friday detected 19 fresh COVID-19 cases eight more than the previous day pushing the tally of confirmed cases to 31689 a health bulletin said Single-day recoveries in the state outnumbered fresh coronavirus infections as 21 patients recuperated from the disease in the last 24 hours The demise of a COVID-19 patient in Peren district increased the death toll in Nagaland to 678 Dimapur recorded the highest number of new cases at 15 followed by two each in Kohima and Wokha districts the official said Nagaland currently has 245 active COVID-19 cases while 29738 people have recovered from the infection The COVID-19 recovery rate in the state now is 9384 per cent Altogether 1028 COVID-19 patients have migrated to other states he said A total of 389777 samples have been tested for COVID-19 in Nagaland thus far State Immunisation Officer Dr Ritu Thurr said 1164695 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to 704836 people till Thursday PTI NBS MM MM

Kohima Sep 29 PTI Nagalands COVID-19 tally rose to 31219 on Wednesday as 24 more people tested positive for the infection while one fresh fatality pushed the states coronavirus death toll to 665 a health bulletin said Dimapur district recorded the highest number of new cases at 13 followed by Peren four and Mokokchung three it said adding that the fresh fatality was registered in Phek Nagaland now has 365 active cases while 29199 people have recovered from the disease so far including 54 in the last 24 hours and 990 patients have migrated to other states to date The recovery rate among the coronavirus patients in the state stood at 9352 per cent The state has tested over 371 lakh samples for COVID-19 and inoculated over 686 lakh people so far of whom 353 lakh people have been fully vaccinated PTI NBS ACD ACD

Kohima Sep 26 PTI Single-day recoveries outnumbered new COVID-19 cases in Nagaland on Sunday as 48 people were cured of the disease and 31 tested positive for the infection a health department official said The fresh infections pushed the states tally to 31150 it said Of the new cases 19 were reported from Dimapur nine from Kohima two from Tuensang and one from Mokokchung Forty-eight more people - 21 in Tuensang 11 in Dimapur and nine in Kohima two each in Kiphire Peren and Phek and one in Mokokchung - were cured of the disease Since Saturday taking the total number of recoveries in the state to 29062 Integrated Disease Surveillance Project state nodal officer Dr Nyanthung Kikon said The recovery rate among COVID-19 patients in the state currently stands at 9329 per cent Nagaland now has 445 active cases while the death toll remained at 662 as no new fatality due to the infection was reported during the day At least 981 COVID patients have so far migrated to other states Over 367 lakh sample tests have been conducted for COVID-19 so far he said State Immunisation Officer Dr Ritu Thurr said 683316 eligible beneficiaries have been inoculated till Saturday with over 336 lakh of them having received both doses of the vaccines PTI NBS BDC BDC
