Bhopal Mar 26 PTI The COVID-19 tally in Madhya Pradesh reached 1041015 on Saturday after the detection of 23 cases while the death toll remained unchanged at 10734 an official said The positivity rate stood at 01 per cent for the second consecutive day he added The recovery count increased by 14 to touch 1030140 leaving the state with 141 active cases the official informed With 22218 samples examined during the day the number of tests in MP went up to 28743851 he added A government release said 115492067 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered so far in the state including 198599 on Saturday Coronavirus figures in MP are as follows Total cases 1041015 new cases 23 death toll 10734 recoveries 1030140 active cases 141 number of tests so far 28743851 PTI ADU BNM BNM BNM

Bhopal Feb 28 PTI Following the death of two boys after falling into open borewells in the past four days in Umaria and Damoh districts of Madhya Pradesh the state government on Monday directed officials to ensure all such sites are covered While 3-year-old Prince Athya died after he fell into a 30-feet deep dry borewell in Barkera Bes village in Damoh on Sunday noon a 3-year-old boy died in the intervening night of Thursday and Friday after falling into a 200-feet deep borewell in Badarchad village in Umaria The two deaths are extremely sad Instructions have been issued to all Janpad Panchayat Chief Executive Officers CEOs and Public Health Engineering PHE to cover open borewells to prevent such incidents state Home minister Narottam Mishra who is also the state governments spokesperson told reporters on Monday While the futile rescue operation in Damoh took five hours the one in Umaria went on for 16 hours officials had said PTI ADU BNM BNM BNM

Bhopal Feb 27 PTI The COVID-19 tally in Madhya Pradesh reached 1038588 on Sunday with the detection of 392 cases while the death toll remained unchanged at 10727 an official said The positivity rate or cases per 100 tests reduced to 05 per cent from 07 per cent the previous day he pointed out So far 1024010 people have been discharged post recovery including 869 during the day leaving the state with an active tally of 3851 the official said Bhopal and Indore the two worst coronavirus-hit cities of Madhya Pradesh registered 52 and 23 cases respectively during the past 24 hours he said With 65593 samples examined during the day the number of tests in MP went up to 27831295 the official added A government release said 113388311 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered so far in the state including 6732 on Sunday Coronavirus figures in MP are as follows Total cases 1038588 new cases 392 death toll 10727 recoveries 1024010 active cases 3851 number of tests so far 27831295 PTI ADU BNM BNM BNM

Bhopal Feb 22 PTI The Madhya Pradesh government announced that night curfew would be lifted from the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday in view of the decline in COVID-19 cases The situation of coronavirus infection in the state is under control now COVID-19 positivity rate has come down to less than 1 per cent Keeping these circumstances in view night curfew is being lifted from today midnight Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhans office said in a tweet on Tuesday afternoon He however said people must adopt COVID appropriate behaviour despite withdrawal of curbs adding that they must not be careless while celebrating Holi Rangpanchami and other upcoming festivals Night curfew was enforced in December last year amid a rise in cases due to the Omicron variant All other pandemic curbs imposed in the state have already been withdrawn PTI ADU BNM BNM BNM
