Jammu Feb 24 PTI The Border Security Force BSF opened fire at a flying object along the International Border IB in R S Pura sector here on Thursday sources said The flying object possibly a drone was trying to intrude into the Indian territory from across the border but was forced to retreat they said A moment of a flying object was detected along the IB in R S Pura-Arnia sector prompting alert BSF troops to open fire at it the sources said adding over 20 rounds were fired The flying object was forced to return back they said Drones have frequently been used by terror elements from across the IB to drop weapons and explosive materials as well as narcotics PTI AB AQS AQS
Ahmedabad Jan 31 PTI The Border Security Force BSF apprehended a Pakistani national from the creek area in Gujarats Kutchs district and seized three fishing boats during patrolling along the Indo-Pak maritime border on Monday officials saidWhile the Pak intruder appearing to be a fisherman was nabbed some four other fishermen managed to escape into Pakistan territory after spotting BSF patrol boats in the morning in the creek area said an official releaseDuring patrolling in the Sir Creek area The BSF observed movement of some Pakistani fishing boats with 4 to 5 fishermen on board They were attempting to enter Indian territory by taking advantage of rough sea conditions said the statementOn seeing BSF patrol boats Pakistani intruders tried to escape it saidHowever BSF patrol chased them and apprehended one Pakistani fisherman and seized three of their boats while rest of the fishermen managed to escape into Pakistani side taking advantage of slushy and marshy terrain of the area said the statementAll three seized boats were searched but nothing suspicious was recovered from them it saidA thorough search operation has been launched in the area but till now nothing suspicious has been recovered the BSF said PTI PJT RSY RSY
Jammu Sept 27 PTI The Border Security Force on Monday recovered a huge cache of arms ammunition narcotics and fake Indian currency from the International Border in Jammu district officials said The recovery was made during a search operation along the IB in the Akhnoor sector when a bag containing the contrabands was found hidden in bushes a BSF spokesperson said On opening the bag it was found having four pistols eight magazines 100 rounds of ammunition one packet of narcotics weighing about one kg along with fake Indian currency worth Rs 275000 he said This consignment was likely to be delivered to anti-national elements of the area but the BSF foiled their nefarious attempts by seizing the consignment he added PTI AB RAX RAX
