Thane Nov 19 PTI A 35-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly sodomising and beating up his minor employee in Maharashtras Thane district police said on Friday The police on Thursday arrested the accused who owns a meat shop in Ambernath town of the district an official said The incident took place on the intervening night of November 13 and 14 when the accused allegedly sexually assaulted the minor and had unnatural sex with him The boy worked at the shop and lived there the official said The next day the boy narrated the incident to his mother who questioned the accused Angered by this the accused pushed the boy against a wall injuring the latters face he said A customer helped the boy lodge a complaint following which a case was registered at Shivaji Nagar police under sections 377 and 326 of the IPC and relevant provisions of the Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences POCSO Act the official added PTI COR NP ARU ARU
Raipur Oct 28 PTI Chhattisgarhs coronavirus positive case tally rose to 1005957 on Thursday with 31 new infections a health official said No fatality due to the virus was reported in the state during the day which kept the death toll unchanged at 13575 he said The number of recoveries rose to 992097 after three patients were discharged from hospitals while six others completed their home isolation during the day There are 285 active COVID-19 cases in the state Durg district recorded seven new cases while two districts including Raipur recorded five coronavirus cases each and three districts including Raigarh saw three cases each Also five districts including Bilaspur recorded one case each No fresh cases were reported in 17 districts he said As 23331 samples were tested during the day the cumulative test count in the state increased to 13627926 Chhattisgarhs coronavirus figures are as follows Positive cases 1005957 new cases 31 death toll 13575 recoveries 992097 active cases 285 tests done so far 13627926 PTI COR NP NP
Nashik Oct 27 PTI The COVID-19 tally in Nashik district of Maharashtra rose to 410601 as 64 people tested positive for the infection on Wednesday health officials said As the virus claimed the life of one person the death toll in the district grew to 8675 they said So far 401201 people have recuperated and got discharge from hospitals of whom 73 recovered during the day As many as 2721856 swabs have been tested till date out of which 5883 were tested on Wednesday PTI COR NP NP
