Madhya Pradesh logs 11 new COVID-19 cases active tally at 62

Bhopal Apr 22 PTI Madhya Pradesh on Friday recorded 11 new cases of COVID-19 that raised the tally of infections to 1041292 an official from the state health department said The count of recoveries reached 1030496 after seven patients were discharged from hospitals while the toll stood at 10734 as no fresh casualty was reported the official said The central state is now left with 62 active cases and the positivity rate stood at 01 per cent he said With the addition of 7897 swab samples examined during the day the total number of tests conducted in the state went up to 29024460 he added As per an official release 117184872 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered so far in the state of which 38958 jabs were given on Friday Coronavirus figures in MP are as follows Total cases 1041292 new cases 11 death toll 10734 recoveries 1030496 active cases 62 number of tests so far 29024460 PTI MAS ARU ARU

Bhopal Apr 20 PTI Madhya Pradesh has recorded six new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours that took the tally of infections to 1041266 an official from the state health department said on Wednesday As many as 10 patients were discharged from hospitals during the day raising the count of recoveries to 1030487 while the toll stood at 10734 as no fresh casualties were reported the official said With the positivity rate of 008 per cent the state currently has 45 active cases he said At least 7036 swab samples were examined during the day taking the number of tests conducted in the state to 29008792 the official added As per a government release 117055861 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered so far in the state of which 49616 jabs were given on Wednesday Coronavirus figures in MP are as follows Total cases 1041266 new cases 06 death toll 10734 recoveries 1030487 active cases 45 number of tests so far 29008792 PTI MAS ARU ARU

Bhopal Feb 19 PTI Madhya Pradesh has recorded 1013 new cases of COVID-19 and two more casualties in the last 24 hours that raised the tally of infections to 1033490 and toll to 10713 an official from the state health department said on Saturday As many as 2353 patients were discharged from hospitals taking the count of recoveries to 1014413 the official said The state is now left with 8364 active cases and the positivity rate stands at 14 per cent he said Bhopal and Indore the two worst coronavirus-hit cities of the state registered 261 and 74 cases respectively in the last 24 hours he said With the addition of 68926 samples examined during the day the number of tests conducted in the state rose to 27299967 the official added As per an official release 112998387 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the state so far of which 134458 jabs were given on Saturday Coronavirus figures in MP are as follows Total cases 1033490 new cases 1013 death toll 10713 recoveries 1014413 active cases 8364 number of tests so far 27299967 PTI ADU ARU ARU

Bhopal Jan 31 PTI The Madhya Pradesh government on Monday decided to reopen schools including residential ones with 50 per cent capacity for students of classes 1 to 12 from February 1 as the coronavirus situation appears to be stabilising in the state officials saidThe decision was taken after chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan held discussions with medical experts over the prevailing coronavirus situation and the feasibility of reopening schools they saidThe CM himself later tweeted about the governments decisionDiscussions were held with medical experts on the issue of reopening schools Accordingly it has been decided to reopen schools for classes 1 to 12 with 50 per cent attendance including residential ones and hostels Chouhan said in a tweet in HindiAmid a surge in coronavirus cases and emergence of the highly contagious Omicron variant the Madhya Pradesh government had on January 14 issued orders to shut schools for in-person learning for students of classes 1 to 12 and also hostels till January 31Though there is nothing to worry on the pandemic front the administration should continue to ensure COVID-19-appropriate behaviour among citizens and mandatory use of face masks in public places the CM saidThe COVID-19 tally in Madhya Pradesh rose to 959439 on Sunday after detection of 9305 new cases a health department official saidThe death toll increased to 10616 after nine more patients succumbed to the infection he had saidThe positivity rate positive cases per 100 tests decreased slightly to 1149 per cent on Sunday from 1174 per cent the previous day the official had said PTI MAS RSY RSY

MP govt forms SPV for management of assets

Bhopal Jan 24 PTI The Madhya Pradesh government has formed a Special Purpose Vehicle SPV to properly manage the assets of the state and PSUs an official said on Monday The MP State Asset Management Company MPSAC will provide efficient management systems to the government for good management of unutilised assets and to enhance their structure and efficiency the official said The SPV would coordinate with the state government to hold these assets which would be monetised to fetch value to the exchequer The MPSAC will be focusing on the existing participative model for good management of unutilised assets the official said The decision to create the SPV was taken by the Madhya Pradesh cabinet in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan recently he said The SPV would be registered as a company under the Companies Act with an initial authorized capital of Rs 1000 crore The initial paid-up capital would be Rs 10 crore The board of directors of the SPV includes the chief minister state chief secretary secretaries of government departments and managing director of Madhya Pradesh Rajya Praisampati Prabandh Company who will be the member secretary For proper management of government and public undertakings assets the SPV would be able to take the services of subject experts consultants and appoint transaction advisors having expertise in asset management the official added PTI MAS NSK NSK

Bhopal Jan 18 PTI The Madhya Pradesh government on Tuesday approved a scheme for providing financial assistance to women suffering disability due to domestic violence The decision was taken by the state cabinet in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan an official said As per the scheme women suffering 40 per cent disability will get financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh while those whose disability is higher than 40 per cent will get Rs 4 lakh he said These women will also get residence-to-court transport expenses in case a legal process is underway an official statement said The cabinet also approved the Excise Policy for 2022-23 and Madhya Pradesh Heritage Traditional Liquor Policy proposed by the Commercial Tax Department It also approved the proposal of providing free treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh to victims of Bhopal gas tragedy and their children under Ayushman Niramayam Yojana PTI ADU BNM BNM BNM

Bhopal Dec 24 PTI Madhya Pradesh water resources minister Tulsiram Silawat has directed his department to draw up a plan to build sport complexes on land available with it an official said on Friday After visiting Damkheda in Kolar area here Silawat said his department would build a sports complex at an estimated cost of Rs 8 crore the official added Silawat local BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma and other senior officials visited the proposed site where the complex will come up on an 8-acre plot It will have facilities for badminton swimming basketball outdoor and indoor games It will also generate employment he said The 3D map of the proposed complex will be made soon and an action plan for it will be presented in a fortnight he added Silawat directed officials to draw a plan to develop similar facilities in other areas as the department has land at a number of places in Bhopal the state public relations department official further said PTI MAS BNM BNM BNM
