Bhopal Feb 18 PTI The COVID-19 tally in Madhya Pradesh reached 1032477 on Friday with the detection of 888 cases while the deaths of two patients in the last 24 hours took the toll to 10711 an official said The positivity rate stood at 14 per cent down from 18 per cent on Thursday he said So far 1012060 people have been discharged post recovery including 2715 during the day leaving the state with an active tally of 9706 the official said Bhopal and Indore the two worst coronavirus-hit cities of Madhya Pradesh registered 182 and 100 cases respectively during the past 24 hours he said With 60278 samples examined during the day the number of tests in MP went up to 27231041 he added A government release said 112851755 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered so far in the state including 92462 on Friday Coronavirus figures in MP are as follows Total cases 1032477 new cases 888 death toll 10711 recoveries 1012060 active cases 9706 number of tests so far 27231041 PTI MAS BNM BNM BNM

Bhopal Jan 31 PTI The COVID-19 tally in Madhya Pradesh reached 967501 on Monday with the detection of 8062 new cases while the toll increased to 10618 after two patients succumbed to the infection in the last 24 hours a state health department official said The positivity rate or cases detected per 100 tests decreased to 108 per cent on Monday from 1149 per cent a day earlier he pointed out The recovery count stood at 896274 after 10478 people were discharged during the day leaving the state with an active tally of 60609 the official said Bhopal and Indore the two worst coronavirus-hit cities of Madhya Pradesh registered 1757 and 1197 cases respectively during the past 24 hours he added With 74554 samples examined during the day the number of tests in MP went up to 25928853 A government release said 109557000 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered so far in the state including 238754 on Monday Coronavirus figures in MP are as follows Total cases 967501 new cases 8062 death toll 10618 recoveries 896274 active cases 60609 number of tests 25928853 PTI MAS BNM BNM BNM

Bhopal Jan 21 PTI The COVID-19 tally in Madhya Pradesh reached 871632 on Friday with the addition of 9603 cases while the death toll increased by four to reach 10557 in the last 24 hours a health department official said The positivity rate or cases detected per 100 tests stood at 120 per cent up from 117 per cent recorded on Thursday when the addition to the tally was 9385 he said The recovery count was 805990 after 4255 people were discharged from hospitals during the day leaving the state with 55085 active cases the official said Indore and Bhopal the two worst coronavirus-hit cities in Madhya Pradesh registered 2838 and 1991 cases respectively during the past 24 hours he added With 79779 samples examined during the day the total number of tests conducted so far in MP went up to 25146946 the official said A total of 108454723 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in MP including 90864 on Friday an official release said Coronavirus figures in MP are as follows Total cases 871632 new cases 9603 death toll 10557 recoveries 805990 active cases 55085 number of tests so far 25146946 PTI MAS BNM BNM BNM

Bhopal Dec 24 PTI Madhya Pradesh water resources minister Tulsiram Silawat has directed his department to draw up a plan to build sport complexes on land available with it an official said on Friday After visiting Damkheda in Kolar area here Silawat said his department would build a sports complex at an estimated cost of Rs 8 crore the official added Silawat local BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma and other senior officials visited the proposed site where the complex will come up on an 8-acre plot It will have facilities for badminton swimming basketball outdoor and indoor games It will also generate employment he said The 3D map of the proposed complex will be made soon and an action plan for it will be presented in a fortnight he added Silawat directed officials to draw a plan to develop similar facilities in other areas as the department has land at a number of places in Bhopal the state public relations department official further said PTI MAS BNM BNM BNM

Bhopal Dec 20 PTI A senior IAS officer attached to the horticulture department who recently initiated a probe into scam allegations in onion seed purchase was shifted to the state secretariat without any new department being assigned to her The transfer order of horticulture department principal secretary and 1992 batch Indian Administrative Service official Kalpana Shrivastava which was issued on December 18 a holiday has given rise to speculation here that the shift may be linked to her initiating a probe into alleged irregularities in onion seed purchases The departments charge has been given to Additional Chief Secretary JN Kansotia who also has charge of the animal husbandry department Horticulture commissioner Manoj Kumar Agrawal a 1993 batch Indian Forest Service IFoS official has been sent back to the forest department as well they said Department sources told PTI the MP Economic Offences Wing has started a probe into the onion seed matter The Kisan Ekta Manch in a letter to MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had alleged that the purchase of onions by the department was a Rs 2 crore scam and it had demanded that a criminal case be filed in the matter Udyaniki Adhikari Karmachari Sanghs horticultute department working president Mahesh Pratap Singh Bundela had also written a letter to the CM as well as Shrivastava and the EOW demanding a probe and registration of a criminal case Bundela in his complaint letter had claimed that the department bought onion seeds at Rs 2300 per kilogram against a prevailing rate of Rs 1100 per kg Sources said Shrivastava as principal secretary of the department had initiated a probe based on the complaints and had directed the commissioner on October 18 to take legal action against those responsible for violating rules in the purchase Payments had also been stopped in the matter these sources said PTI MAS BNM BNM BNM
