New Delhi Mar 26 PTI A 20-year-old man allegedly stabbed his cousin to death in a fight over drugs in north Delhis Holambi Kalan area police said on Saturday Police got a call on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday informing that one Imran was stabbed by someone He was rushed to Harischandra hospital a senior police officer said Police reached the hospital and found the patient unfit for recording statement Later the victim was shifted to BSA hospital in Rohini where he was declared dead Deputy Commissioner of Police Outer North Brijendra Kumar Yadav said Meanwhile another injured Sohel was shifted to a hospital for treatment police said Based on the statement of Armaan the elder brother of Imran a case under section 307 attempt to murder was registered against Sohel who is undergoing treatment at Safdarjung hospital the DCP said According to police Sohel called Imran from his home around 5 pm on Friday Both have been involved in drug abuse Police suspected that a sudden altercation broke out between them over drugs which may have triggered the fight However the investigation is underway which will ascertain the exact cause behind the incident they said Narela Industrial Area police station received information around 330 am about the death of Imran following which Indian Penal Code section 302 murder was added in the case police said Residents of Metro Vihar Phase-II Holambi Kalan Imran and Armaan were involved in collection of scraps they added PTI NIT CK
New Delhi Mar 25 PTI The body of a 17-year-old boy was found stuffed into a bag in northwest Delhis Mangolpuri area on Friday morning police said The boy had been missing from Rohini area since Thursday night they said Police were informed regarding the body at 7 am on Friday Upon reaching the spot near Peer Baba Majaar Main Road opposite Y-Block Mangolpuri police found that the unidentified body with throat-slit injuries was stuffed into a purple colour travel bag Deputy Commissioner of Police Outer Sameer Sharma said All neighbouring police stations and districts were informed for checking the missing persons records police said During inquiry the deceased was identified as a 17-year-old resident of Rohini Sector-1 they said Based on the missing report a case under Indian Penal Code section 363 punishment for kidnapping was registered at South Rohini police station on Friday Further investigation is being conducted by the local police of Rohini they added PTI NIT CK

New Delhi Dec 25 PTI A 24-year-old man was arrested for allegedly opening gunfire for his birthday celebration in northeast Delhis New Usmanpur area police said on Saturday Police said they have also arrested the person who had given the gun to him The accused were identified as Sunny Dubey and Ghanshyam 34 both residents of New Usmanpur they said Police swung into action after the video of a man firing with pistol during a birthday party went viral on the social media Through technical surveillance and human intelligence network police zeroed-in the place and the person involved in the incident The incident took place in Usmanpur area a senior police officer said Police apprehended Dubey from his home He confessed to the crime and revealed that the pistol was provided to him by one Ghanshyam On his instance a raid was conducted and Ghanshyam was also apprehended from New Usmanpur Deputy Commissioner of Police northeast Sanjay Kumar Sain said During search a pistol loaded with three live cartridges was recovered from his possession police added PTI NIT CK
New Delhi Dec 25 PTI The Delhi Police has arrested six women members of a gang for allegedly trafficking in infants officials said on Saturday The gang involved in trafficking of over 50 infants used to procure them from the parents belonging to poor financial background by offering them money and further sold the babies to childless couples for a hefty amount police said On December 17 police were tipped off that the members of the gang would come near Shamshan Ghat Gandhi Nagar around 330 pm to sell an infant Thereafter a raid was conducted and three women having a seven to eight months old boy with them were apprehended from the spot Three more members of the gang were arrested the next day and one baby girl was rescued Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime Rajesh Deo said Those who have been arrested were identified as Priya Jain Priya Kajal Rekha Shivani and Premvati the officials said During interrogation the accused revealed that a few of them had come in contact with an IVF centre and started donating their eggs to be used in IVF process In this process they came in contact with several couples who had no children of their own and could not even get through the IVF process police said The gang would identify a pregnant woman having a poor financial background and strike a deal with her and her husband When the child was born they used to keep it in their custody police said They would simultaneously identify several possible buyers and circulate the childs photograph among all touts through WhatsApp and sell the child to one who agreed to buy the DCP said Kajal and Priyanka are the mastermind of the gang It is also suspected that their network is spread in other states as well Priyanka is absconding and efforts are being made to arrest the remaining accused police added PTI NIT CK
