Puducherry Mar 21 PTI The Union Territory of Puducherry registered nil cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours ending 10 AM on Monday Director of Health GSriramulu said in a press release that 70 samples were tested today and no fresh case was identified He said the tally remained at 165772 till date Active cases were 13 all in home quarantine and there was no fresh fatality either in the last 24 hours Death toll remained at 1962 There was also zero recovery during the day and the overall recoveries were 163797 Sriramulu said the test positivity rate too was nil He said 1612972 doses have been administered so far 934603 first dose 665080 second and 13289 booster doses PTI COR NVG NVG

Puducherry Mar 18 PTI The Union Territory of Puducherry registered zero COVID-19 cases on Friday and the overall tally of cases remained unchanged at 165766 In a press release Director of Health G Sriramulu said no new case surfaced across the UT after examining 348 samples in the last 24 hours He said the active cases fell to 11 after three patients recovered from the disease All 11 active cases are currently in home quarantine The overall recoveries in the UT stood at 163793 Sriramulu said there was no fresh fatality on Friday and the death toll remained at 1962 The health department has tested 2225045 samples so far and has found 1869745 samples out of them to be negative The test positivity rate TPR was zero while fatality and recovery rates were 118 per cent and 9881 per cent respectively The Director said the health department has administered 1609895 doses so far comprising 933858 first doses 662865 second doses and 13172 booster doses PTI COR HDA HDA

Puducherry Nov 24 PTI The Union Territory of Puducherry logged 27 fresh cases of coronavirus during the last 24 hours thereby raising the total to 128745 till date and the test positivity rate fell below one per cent a senior official of the Department of Health said Director of the department G Sriramulu said the fresh cases at the end of examination of 2837 samples were spread over Puducherry 17 Karaikal 5 Yanam 1 and Mahe four The director said the test positivity rate was 095 per cent while the fatality and recovery rates were 145 per cent and 9831 per cent respectively The active cases were 304 of which 58 were in hospitals and the rest in home isolation The director said 24 patients recovered and were discharged during the last 24 hours while the overall recoveries were 126571 No fatality was reported from any of the four regions of Puducherry Karaikal Mahe and Yanam and fatalities remained at 1870 The Health Department has tested 1969 lakh samples so far and 1668 lakh of them were negative The department has administered the vaccine to 1186314 comprising 740655 first doses and the remaining second doses the director said PTI COR NVG NVG

Puducherry Sept 27 PTI The Union Territory of Puducherry witnessed a steep fall in the number of new cases of Covid-19 during the last 24 hours ending 10 AM on Monday taking the overall tally to 126127 according to the Department of Health Director of the department G Sriramulu said the number of new cases reported on Sunday was 78 and it fell to 37 today The cases were identified at the end of examination of 3619 samples and were spread over Puducherry 28 Karaikal 7 and Mahe 2 Yanam an enclave of Puducherry in Andhra Pradesh did not report any new case today The Director said the active cases were 866 of which 124 were in hospitals and 742 in home isolation He said 72 patients were discharged during the last 24 hours while the overall recoveries were 123423 No fresh fatality was reported from any of the four regions of Puducherry Karaikal Mahe and Yanam and fatalities remained at 1838 He said 1777 lakh samples have been examined so far and 1508 lakh samples turned out to be negative The test positivity rate was 102 per cent today while the fatality and recovery rates were 146 per cent and 9786 per cent respectively Sriramulu said 976401 doses were administered so far in the Union Territory and they included 682847 first dose and 293554 second dose PTI COR NVG NVG
