Jaipur Apr 26 PTI Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has urged the Centre to immediately approve proposals to set up government medical colleges in Rajasthans Pratapgarh and Jalore districts an official statement said on TuesdayGehlot has written a letter to the Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya in this regard it saidThe chief minister has written a letter requesting the central government to approve the proposals for establishment of new medical colleges at Pratapgarh and Jalore district headquarters pending with it it saidThe chief minister also urged the Centre to make necessary amendments in the provisions for setting up a new government medical college in the states Rajsamand district it saidAccording to Gehlot a private medical college already exists in Rajsamand district and a government medical college cannot be established there as per the provision of the Centrally Sponsored Scheme the statement saidIn this regard the state government had earlier requested through several letters to review the relevant provisions of the centrally sponsored scheme and make necessary amendments the statement saidGehlot said the fees in private medical colleges are high and not every student can bear the burden of such high fees PTI SDA TDS TDS

Jaipur Apr 25 PTI A 35-year-old married woman was allegedly gang-raped and murdered by two men at a village in Dausa district police said on Monday The womans body was found in a well under the Bassi police station area of Jaipur district on Monday they said adding that one of the suspects has been arrested According to police the woman had left Jaipur in a bus to visit her parents house in Dausa on Sunday morning She reached the bus stand of her village in Dausa and was walking towards her parents house when the accused offered her a lift in their vehicle said Dausa Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Gupta He said that instead of taking her to the village they took her to forest area and gang raped her After the gang rape they murdered the woman and threw her body in a well the officer said Meanwhile when the victim did not reach home her parents registered a missing complaint with Ramgarh Pachawara police station of Dausa on Sunday evening The body was recovered in the early hours of Monday Gupta said The SP said one of the accused identified as Kaluram Meena has been arrested and the efforts are on to nab the other accused The primary investigation suggests that the woman was not known to the accused Gupta said adding that the body was handed over to family members after post mortem PTI SDA KVK KVK
