Ranchi Dec 22 PTI The five-day winter session of the Jharkhand assembly was adjourned sine die on Wednesday during which a law against mob lynching and the second supplementary budget of Rs 2926 crore were passed In the session that began on December 16 the opposition protested fiercely against the government alleging corruption and irregularities in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission examination and demanded CBI inquiry into it Proceedings had to be adjourned several times due to ruckus over the issue However Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that those pointing fingers at the conduct of the exam are Manuwadis who dont want welfare of Dalits and Adivasis On the second day of the winter session the second supplementary expenditure statement of Rs 2926 crore for the 2021-22 fiscal was presented in the assembly It was passed on December 20 Jharkhand Mob Violence and Mob Lynching Bill 2021 was introduced in the assembly and passed by voice vote making it a law The state finance minister presented the audit report of the CAG Court Fee Jharkhand Amendment Bill 2021 Jharkhand Electricity Fee Amendment Bill 2021 and Pandit Raghunath Murmu Tribal University Bill 2021 were passed on the last day of the session Speaker Rabindranath Mahato said that a total of 293 questions were approved during the entire session PTI IKD ACD ACD
Ranchi Dec 22 PTI Jharkhand Mukti Morcha JMM supremo Shibu Sorens daughter-in-law and Chief Minister Hemant Sorens sister-in-law and party MLA Sita Soren on Wednesday sat on a dharna at the gates of the assembly against the policies of her own government causing a huge embarrassment to the ruling dispensation The Jama MLA said that she has not received satisfactory answers from the state government I have come to the House seeking the protection of water forest and land In the Amrapali project of the Central Coalfields Limited forest land is being encroached upon and coal is being illegally transported but the government is doing nothing to stop it she said Alleging that the state government was giving wrong answers she demanded that the land encroached by CCL be freed Another JMM MLA Lobin Hembram asked whether it was true that the Jharkhand government was planning to sell liquor Shibu Soren speaks of prohibition but Hemant Soren is preparing to do the opposite Nothing could be more shameful than this the lawmaker added PTI IKD ACD ACD
Ranchi Dec 22 PTI The suspension of BJP MLA Manish Jaiswal from Jharkhand Assembly was revoked on Wednesday a day after being suspended for the rest of the winter session by the speaker for tearing a House document and was allowed to participate in the proceedings after the lunch break Jaiswal was allowed to participate in the proceedings of the last day of the winter session after state Parliamentary Affairs Minister Alamgir Alam requested Speaker Ravindra Nath Mahto to revoke the order following demands by the opposition BJP On Tuesday Jaiswal tore up a copy of his calling attention motion during the zero hour in the House when the opposition parties led by BJP were protesting for the fourth consecutive day against the Hemant Soren government for not taking cognizance of the alleged manipulation in the Jharkhand Public Service Commission JPSC examination and demanding CBI inquiry into it The MLA before tearing up the document had said he has no hope of the government taking any step and so there is no point in reading out the calling attention motion He had also said the demand for CBI inquiry is made by BJP as the issue of JPSC manipulation is a matter of public interest and concerned the future of thousands of students Alam had objected to the tearing of the copy of the calling attention motion and Chief Minister Hemant Soren who was present in the House demanded action against Jaiswal The BJP MLA was then suspended by the speaker PTI IKD KK KK KK
