The 16-year-old golfer Avani Prashanth is now five shots clear of eight players who are tied at 1-over 73. The pack of eight includes last week's winner Ridhima Dilawari and two amateurs, Heena Kang and Jia Kataria.
Afshan, who was twice runner-up in 2019 and once before that in 2018 and has not won since the 13th Leg of the 2018 season, was on top of the leaderboard after a very long time.
The win for Gaurika comes at the right time ahead of the Women's Indian Open next month. Gaurika also moved up the Order of Merit to fourth place ahead of Jahanvi Bakshi. The top three spots are occupied by Pranavi Urs, Hitaashee Bakshi and Seher Atwal.

Tied with amateur Sneha Singh at 3-under for the week with three holes to go, Hitaashee birdied 16th and 18th, while Sneha bogeyed the 18th. In a matter of three holes, Hitaashee had a comfortable win by three shots.
