Jaipur Feb 23 PTI Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday presented his first agriculture Budget proposing Rs 5000 crore for the CM Krishak Saathi Yojana to implement 11 schemes on a mission mode Last year the state government had proposed Rs 2000 crore under the scheme which has been increased to Rs 5000 crore in the Budget 2022-23 It is our aim to strengthen the financial situation of farmers and make Rajasthan stand among top states in the agriculture sector in the next five years In last years Budget I had announced Rs 2000 crore under the CM Krishak Saathi Yojana which I propose to increase to Rs 5000 crore Gehlot said The missions include Rajasthan Micro Irrigation Mission Rajasthan Organic Farming Mission Rajasthan Seed Production and Distribution Mission Rajasthan Millets Promotion Mission Rajasthan Protected Cultivation Mission Rajasthan Horticulture Development Mission Rajasthan Crop Protection Mission Rajasthan Land Fertility Mission Rajasthan Agricultural Labourers Empowerment Mission Rajasthan Agri-Tech Mission and Rajasthan Food Processing Mission Under the Rajasthan Micro Irrigation Mission five lakh farmers will be benefited with a proposed budget of Rs 2700 crore A centre of excellence for micro irrigation will be set up Among the other major missions are the Rajasthan Organic Farming Mission for which Rs 600 crore has been proposed to benefit four lakh farmers in the next three years A total of Rs 100 crore has been proposed for the Rajasthan Millets Promotion Mission Rs 400 crore grant will be given to 25000 farmers in the next two years under the Rajasthan Protected Cultivation Mission The chief minister announced 60 per cent subsidy to one lakh farmers on installation of solar pump sets with an expenditure of Rs 5000 crore The government will also clear pending 338 lakh electricity connections to the farmers at a cost of Rs 6700 crore Gehlot in his budget speech said interest-free crop loans amounting Rs 20000 crore will be distributed and five lakh new farmers will be included for which Rs 650 crore interest subsidy will be spent In the next three years Rs 14860 crore will be spent under the Rajasthan Irrigation Restructuring Programme for supply of water This includes developing 37 solar energy-based micro irrigation projects costing Rs 550 crore various works amounting Rs 9600 crore under the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project ERCP Rs 600 crore for renovation and repair of distributaries and Rs 2600 crore for water harvesting and conservation The state government also proposed to set up 11 mini food parks in districts at a cost of Rs 220 crore besides setting up phyto-sanitary labs in Kota and Jodhpur PTI AG HRS hrs

New Delhi Jan 28 PTI The Delhi Cabinet on Friday approved ex gratia relief to farmers at the rate of Rs 20000 per acre on account of loss due to unseasonal rains officials said The cabinet chaired by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also approved the rates at which the ex gratia relief to farmers was to be paid as per assessment of the loss The expenditure under the exercise will be about Rs 53 crore for an approximate area of 29000 acres Due to incessant rains and water logging of fields owing to overflow of nearby natural drains during September-October 2021 in Delhi crops of farmers have been severely damaged Teams were sent to the ground to assess the damage done to the crops an official statement said The Delhi Cabinet approved ex gratia relief to farmers at the rate of Rs 20000 per acre on account of loss due to unseasonal rains The council also approved the rates at which ex gratia relief to farmers was to be paid as per assessment of the loss If the loss is assessed to be 70 per cent or less compensation will be paid at the rate of 70 per cent If the assessed loss is more than 70 per cent compensation will be paid at the rate of 100 per cent it added PTI GJS SRY

Itanagar Jan 20 PTI The state cabinet on Thursday decided to confer the highest state award Arunachal Ratna on Late K A A Raja the first Lt Governor of Arunachal Pradesh for his immense and unforgettable contributions to the socio-economic and political development of the frontier state Commemorating the launch of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Arunachal Pradesh as an independent identity the cabinet meeting which was held at Ziro in Lower Subansiri district decided to provide financial assistance to 500 top performing women Self Help Groups through fixed deposit of Rs 1 lakh each to strengthen social capital base and take up economic activities The meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pema Khandu also decided to provide financial assistance to 300 Primary Level Federations through capital subsidy deposit of Rs 2 lakh each for procurement of goods transport vehicle for use by their respective constituent SHGs a communiqu from the CMO said The state cabinet also agreed to formulate district level Good Governance Index through engaging an experienced knowledge partner for strengthening all round development and improve ease of living of the citizens It also decided to identify and select 50 existing government schools based on professionally determined criteria for being developed as Golden Jubilee Model Schools subject to maximum ceiling of Rs 12 crore expenditure per school at an estimated cost and allocation of Rs 500 crore approximately Among other important decisions the cabinet resolved to complete and inaugurate 365 physical infrastructure projects within the Golden Jubilee year period from January 20 2022 to 20 January 20 2023 It also decided to provide recognition through a sum of Rs 2 lakh as Golden Jubilee Merit Award to any Arunachalee student completing class 12 Board examination from schools of the state on qualifying National Level Entrance Examination and securing admission to IITs IIMs NLUs and AIIMS The cabinet agreed to establish Arunachal Pradesh Infrastructure Financing Authority to meet development needs of the state It also decided to provide an additional fixed deposit of Rs 5000 as top-up amount over the existing Rs 20000 under the Dulari Kanya Scheme to Golden Jubilee Daughters who are born between January 20 2022 and January 20 2023 and are fully immunized the communiqu added PTI UPL RG RG

New Delhi Jan 19 PTI The civil aviation industry has to pay 21 per cent of its revenues as indirect taxes and this unreasonable proposition is resulting in a chronically ill sector IndiGo CEO Ronojoy Dutta said on Wednesday Dutta requested the Ministry of Finance to reduce central excise taxes on fuel from 11 to 5 per cent and eliminate custom duties on aircraft repair parts Civil aviation provides efficient infrastructure critical for economic growth and employment in our country he said in a statement Yet civil aviation pays 21 per cent of its revenues to the government in indirect taxes with very little input credit Dutta said It is an unreasonable proposition to expect that the industry should earn a 21 per cent margin just to pay taxes to the government Indias largest airlines CEO noted This unreasonable proposition is resulting in an industry that is chronically ill and is unable to live up to its true potential of boosting commerce and employment he said On January 17 rating agency Crisil said in a report that Indian carriers are likely to incur a massive loss of approximately Rs 20000 crore in 2021-22 due to third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic and rising fuel prices Dutta requested the Ministry of Finance to take immediate action to address the long festering problem Central excise taxes on fuel should be reduced from 11 per cent to 5 per cent ATF aviation turbine fuel should be brought under the GST custom duties on repair parts should be eliminated said Dutta who is also the Whole Time Director of the airline A rationalisation of taxes will result in explosive growth for aviation which will have multiplier effects throughout the economy stimulating commerce and employment and integrating the different regions of our diverse country closer together he said PTI DSP AQS AQS
