An elephant died due to electrocution after coming in contact with an electric cable in the Kansabel forest area of Jashpur district last night.

Divisional forest officer Sanjay Yadav said, "The body of an elephant was found again in the forest near Pakni village of Ghui Forest Examination Centre. The age of the elephant is said to be 20 to 25 years and the cause of the death is still unknown."

However, the celebrations were reportedly cut short. Tej Pratap claimed that Bihar RJD President Jagadanand Singh manhandled him and prevented him from spending time with his father. Tej Pratap alleged he was not allowed to meet his father at the airport.
