Banka (Bihar) [India], August 23 (ANI): The Bihar police arrested a gang for allegedly running a fake government office inside a guest house near the town's police station in Banka district.

Lucknow: The rifle seized from Ashish Mishra, son of Ajay Mishra according to forensics reports had been shot at some point. However, according to one media report, the analysis could not ascertain whether the gun was fired on October 3 (the day of the Lakhimpur Kheri violence) or on a different day. The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) had analyses four seized weapons and found that three of them – Ashish’s rifle; a pistol belonging to Ashish’s friend Ankit Das; and a repeater gun carried by Das’s bodyguard Lateef – had all been discharged.
