Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan Governor Arif Mohammed Khan is responsible if University Grants Commission rules were flouted during the appointment of vice-chancellors of all nine universities.
The governor of Kerala has no authority to give such a direction. This is arbitrary, illegal and politically motivated, said CPI (M) General Secretary Sitaram Yechury.
Kerala Governor is misusing the Chancellor post to exercise more powers than he holds. He's acting as a tool of the RSS chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan said.
