Mangaluru (Karnataka) September 2 (ANI): Karnataka Chief Minister Basavraj Bommai on Friday said that his government is not liable to answer the allegation of "delayed" arrest of the seer of Sri Murugha Mutt, Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru over alleged sexual assault of two minor girls and added that the state police have been given full freedom in handling of the case.
Bengaluru(Karnataka)[India], August 29 (ANI): Chitradurga police on Monday detained Muruga Mutt seer Shivamurthy Sharanaru while he was en route to Maharashtra from Bankapur in Karnataka's Haveri district. The seer was detained after he was charged under the POCSO Act for alleged sexual assault of two minor girls in an institution run by the Mutt.
