New Delhi [India], February 5 (ANI): An athlete suffering from Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) has filed a representation before the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports challenging selection guidelines of Special Olympics Bharat (SOB) which prohibit entry or presence of athletes' parents in the trial premises.
New Delhi [India], January 25 (ANI): On 22nd January, Special Olympics Bharat, launched the 75-day countdown to the federation's Return To Play - Inclusion Revolution program for athletes with intellectual disabilities (ID). Launched under the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative by the Government of India, the health screening program will reach a record 75,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities in 75 cities of India marking the 75 years of independence on 7th of April which is World Health Day 2022.
New Delhi [India], December 3 (ANI): Boxing legend Mary Kom on Friday inaugurated the 'National Health Fest for Divyangjan - We Care" and felicitated athletes with intellectual disabilities who have won medals for India at the Special Olympics World Games in 2019, here in the national capital.
