No fresh COVID-19 case in Pondy for sixth straight day

Puducherry Mar 30 PTI Puducherry registered no fresh case of coronavirus for the sixth straight day on Wednesday as the total caseload remained unchanged at 165774 a senior health official said Director of Health G Sriramulu in a release said the health department tested 222 samples in the last 24 hours and found no fresh case of infection in any of the four regions of Puducherry Karaikal Mahe and Yanam The Director said one more person got cured leaving only one patient still recovering from the infection in home quarantine Sriramulu said the overall recoveries in the Union Territory were 163811 There was no fresh fatality and the death toll remained the same at 1962 The test positivity rate was zero and the fatality and recovery rates were 118 per cent and 9882 per cent respectively The health department has examined 2228300 samples so far across the UT and found 1872946 samples out of them to be negative The department has so far administered 1636901 doses which comprised 948672 first doses 674115 second doses and 14114 booster doses Sriramulu said PTI COR HDA HDA

Puducherry records one new COVID-19 case

Puducherry Mar 20 PTI Puducherry reported only one new COVID-19 case on Sunday taking the overall tally in the Union Territory to 165772 Director of Health G Sriramulu in a release said the solitary case was identified at the end of examining 249 samples While Mahe an enclave of the UT in Kerala registered the solitary case the other regions of Puducherry reported no new case the Director said No fresh death was reported from any of the four regions and the toll remained at 1962 One patient recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours and the overall recoveries went up to 163797 The UT had recorded five new cases on Saturday The health department has tested 2225722 samples in the UT so far and has found 1870404 out of them to be negative The test positivity rate was 040 per cent while the fatality and recovery rates were 118 per cent and 9881 per cent respectively the Director said The department has administered 1612765 doses till now comprising 934577 first doses 664904 second doses and 13284 booster doses Sriramulu said PTI COR HDA HDA
