Delhi Commission for Women (DCW), on Wednesday, issued a notice to the Special Secretary of the Delhi Government's Home department seeking an Action Taken Report (ATR) on the recommendation of the Commission regarding the ban of retail sale of acid.
The DCW chief took to Twitter, "Those who work honestly have to prove their honesty, while thieves enjoy in this country. Handled lakhs of cases, saved hundreds of girls from trafficking, got liquor-drug mafia arrested, and stood with the poor. This is my only crime. As long as I am alive, I will keep fighting."
The BJP leader demanded the expulsion of Swati Maliwal from DCW with immediate effect on grounds of corruption saying that he will approach the Delhi Lt. Governor if Aravind Kejriwal fails to have her removed.

This has come days after the parents of the 2012 Chhawla gangrape victim met Delhi LG VK Saxena and requested him to file a review petition against the acquittal of all three accused.
DCW on November 10 received information from NGO Shakti Vahini regarding a girl from Nigeria being trafficked to India on the pretext of providing a job. Following the information, a joint team of DCW, Delhi police, and NGO members reached the spot and rescued the girl.
