The 27th Conference of DGPs and heads of Central Passport Organisations (CPOs) of the North-East was organised at Agartala on Tuesday and Wednesday, jointly under the aegis of Intelligence Bureau/Ministry of Home Affairs and Tripura Police.

As per the information recieved, a team of officials from the Sidhai police station along with the officers of the 29th Battalion of the Assam Rifles conducted a raid at the Hezamara village in the Mohanpur subdivision of the West Tripura district.

New Delhi [India], February 7 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Monday pulled up Tripura Police over the notices sent to people for social media posts about alleged communal violence in the state despite its interim restraining order and cautioned it for "harassing" parties against whom police sent pre-arrest notice.

New Delhi : The Supreme Court today issued notice to Tripura government over two FIR filed against HW News Network Journalists. The bench headed by Justice D. Y. Chandrachud also stayed all further proceedings pursuant to the FIRs dated 14.11.2021 and 18.11.2021. The court also granted 4 weeks’ time for filing the counter-affidavit, with liberty to the petitioners to serve the standing counsel for the state of Tripura.
