Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], December 28 (ANI): Maharashtra School Education Minister Varsha Eknath Gaikwad on Tuesday tested positive for COVID-19 with mild symptoms.
Mumbai : On November 25 Varsha Gaikwad made announcement regarding resuming offline schools. She said that offline school for all the classes will be resuming in Maharashtra from December 1. The decision was finalised by the state Cabinet after consultations with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and the paediatric task force constituted by the state government, Gaikwad said.
Earlier, the Maharashtra government had permitted schools for classes 5 to 12 to resume in rural areas, and for classes 8-12 to resume in urban areas from October 4.
