Mumbai Apr 22 PTI A 2020 poem featuring Manoj Bajpayee as the narrator has struck a chord on social media with its message of communal harmony and filmmaker Milap Zaveri who had conceptualised it says it is great to see poems message reach the people in the current timesTitled Bhagwan Aur Khuda the two minute long poem addresses the ineffectiveness of conflict between religions as Bajpayee says Bhagwaan aur Khuda aapas mein baat kar rahe thhe Mandir aur Masjid ke beech chauraahe par mulaqaat kar rahe thhe ki haath jode huye ho ya dua me uthe koi farak nhi padta hai Bhagwaan and Khuda met each other at a square between a temple and a mosque whether you fold your hands or open your palms for prayer it really doesnt matter Zaveri had originally put out the video back in May 2020 at the height of coronavirus-induced lockdown in IndiaBut at the time when communal incidents have been reported in states like Madhya Pradesh Guajarat and national capital New Delhi the poem is once again finding resonance among the social media users who are praising its message of peace and harmonyAccording to Zaveri the video has resurfaced again due to some unfortunate incidents and thats why even he shared it on his Twitter handleIt is great to see it poem becoming so relevant again There have been unfortunate incidents where people of two communities have clashed and that has made this video relevant the filmmaker told PTIAnd people came out to say that people from neither community want disharmony or discord amongst each other Hindus and Muslims have lived in peace and that is whats the message that the poem tries to give he addedZaveri best known for directing commercial entertainers like Satyameva Jayate Marjaavaan and Satyameva Jayate 2 said the scenario during the coronavirus pandemic that hit India in March 2020 propelled him to pen his thoughts about humanityI first thought about the poem in 2020 and it was released in May in the same year The pandemic had begun and there was uncertainty and I wanted to give a positive message about humanityI guess because of recent events it struck a chord somewhere stronger now and it got the video back into notice It is a simple video It doesnt blame anyone or point fingers at anyone and rather says why cant we co-exist in harmony Zaveri told PTIThe director said through the medium of Bhagwaan aur Khuda he has made an attempt to communicate that we all are oneZaveri credits Bajpayee for recognising and helping him bring a new side of his personality to peopleThis has shown a new side of me and the amount of appreciation I have got is a lot I am grateful to Manoj sir for lending his voice for something poignant and powerful It meant a lot to me he addedAsk him if he plans to write another poem the filmmaker replied Never say never about writing another poem as this thought came out of the blue so if anything comes I will do it The poem Bhagwan Aur Khuda happens to be the directors second poem after John Abraham recited his first poem Mera Bharat Mahaan about lauding the spirit of India -- penned by Zaveri PTI KKP RB BK RB RB

Mumbai Nov 25 PTI Director Milap Zaveri says he has sensed disdain from a section of audience towards commercial films often dubbed as masala entertainers even though every industry in the world ultimately relies on such movies to keep the commerce aliveSince 2018 Zaveri has helmed three action movies starting with Satyameva Jayate Marjaavaan and his latest Satyameva Jayate 2 which released on Thursday While the first two projects didnt receive favourable reviews they minted good money at the box officeAccording to the filmmaker massy films are up lapped by audience both Indian and internationalI have seen that condensation in a section of people but those who look down upon mass films are fooling themselves This is exactly what India the world wants to watch If you look around only commercial masala films work Netflixs Red Notice 6 Underground are such thunderous hitsMarvel superhero films too are mass entertainment They made one Eternals that is esoteric and intellectual and it is their weakest box office grosser So it is not limited to Bollywood it is everywhere from streaming platforms to Hollywood everyone needs these commercial films Zaveri told PTI in an interviewThe director recalled that National Award winner Manoj Bajpayee had once said how starring in commercial films like Baaghi 2 or Satyameva Jayate eventually helps him make movies like Gali Guleiyan and Bhonsle which are relatively smaller in scaleThe money earned by these big-ticket films he said empowers other filmmakers to experiment with contentThis massy cinema can never go away If we dont make the films we do and get the money rolling in the industry we wont be able to experiment Other filmmakers wont get a chance to make something else that they want to You need commerce to sustain an industry This year from Master to Sooryavanshi it has been proven that people want to see only this on the big screen Zaveri addedSatyameva Jayate 2 features actor John Abraham in a triple role - playing twin brothers and their fatherThe filmmaker said having Abraham play three characters in the film was an organic decision which not only made sense on paper but also upped the films commercial quotient by three timesAbraham was originally supposed to be starring in a double roleBut when I was writing the fathers character I realised his was the strongest role So I told John that I cant take this to any other actor because it is the best role in the film He immediately agreed The amount of bashing critics will give me for two Johns they will also do for three But maybe the audience will clap and cheer thrice as much he addedProduced by T-Series and Emmay Entertainment the film also stars Divya Khosla Kumar PTI JUR RDS RDS
