The Matrix Resurrections’ first footage is out on the official website. Each look serves as a unique teaser for the coming flick. Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Ann Moss will reprise their roles as Neo and Trinity in the fourth Matrix film. Jada Pinkett Smith is reprising her role as Niobe from the first trilogy. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who starred in the film Watchmen, will also appear, presumably as a younger version of Laurence Fishburne’s Morpheus, who brought Neo into the matrix. Neil Patrick Harris, Jonathan Groff, Priyanka Chopra, Jessica Henwick, and Christina Ricci are also going to appear.
Harris will be Neo’s therapist in The Matrix Resurrections, according to footage from CinemaCon. The footage also hinted that Neo may not recognize himself when he returns to the simulation, with one shot showing him meeting with Trinity in a strangely familiar situation. Warner Bros. is gearing up to promote The Matrix Resurrections. It will release in December. Although a trailer isn’t out yet, fresh teasers are trending.
Users are provided with a blue pill and a red pill on a white backdrop via the movie’s official website. Each time you click on one, you’ll get a different teaser. It will be with first peek footage and voiceovers from the film’s stars. Reeves appears as Neo in one clip, while other clips feature the franchise’s hallmark action. Another scene depicts Groff’s character’s mouth is shut. Each variation is distinct and previews the trailer’s forthcoming release.
There are two narrators for each pill, which is unique. Abdul-Mateen’s character always narrates the red pill, which rescued Neo from the simulation all those years ago; whereas Harris’ character narrates the blue pill, which would’ve left Neo trapped inside the matrix. With reports that Abdul-Mateen’s character is a teenage Morpheus, the videos appear to suggest that Harris’ therapist character isn’t one of the good guys. He is hellbent on keeping Neo trapped inside the matrix. It’s plausible to assume that machines don’t want Neo to escape; given that clips of Harris’ character speaking also show Neo consuming a lot of blue tablets.
The teasers also indicate how Neo might be able to return to the real world. A quick peek reveals what appears to be Abdul-Mateen’s Morpheus being brought to life by some sort of machine. This could be one option for Neo and Trinity to get out of the matrix and back into the real world to prevent another machine uprising. Thankfully, the first trailer for The Matrix Resurrections will be out this Thursday. So we won’t have to wait long for a full clip.
