According to officials, two platoons of 70 to 74 BSF personnel were stationed in the area. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar tweeted, “Deeply saddened at the death of two brave Indian peacekeepers of BSF in Congo. He was part of the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission. The perpetrators of these outrageous attacks should be held accountable and brought to justice.”
