Nitin Patel hit by cow in tiranga yatra

 

Mumbai: Former Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister today suffered injuries in his left leg because a galloping cow ran into him during the Tiranga Yatra led by him in the Kadi town of Mehsana district of the state. The former minister suffered a fracture in his left leg.

In the Tiranga Yatra, nearly 2000 people participated. The yatra had almost completed 70 percent of the distance as it reached a vegetable market a cow suddenly came in running and crashed into Mr. Patel. In the incident along with Nitin Patel, a few others were also hit by the cow and fell to the ground.

 


Mr Patel was taken to a private hospital where X-ray and CT scan showed that he had a minor fracture in his left leg, the BJP leader informed the media.
“The doctors fixed a temporary splint to stabilize the leg and advised me to take rest for 20-25 days,” Patel said.

A herd of cattle had reportedly entered the procession and caused a commotion.
