Keeping in mind the situation of COVID-19, it has been decided that people below 15 years of age and above 60 years of age will not be able to go to see the parade. Tickets are being sold only to those who have received both doses of the vaccine. Five points have been created for selling tickets. The Republic Day parade will start from Vijay Chowk itself but will go to two different places. This time the tableaux will go to the Red Fort in the Republic Day celebrations. This time there will be a total of 21 tableaux. The parade squad will go to the National Stadium. The length from Vijay Chowk to Red Fort is 8.2 kms and from Vijay Chowk to National Stadium it is only 3.3 kms. While more than 1 lakh 15 thousand people are present to watch the parade every year, due to covid only 25 thousand people were present last year. This time also their number will not be more than 24 thousand. Through the Republic Day Parade, the world is shown a glimpse of India’s strength, culture and unity in diversity.

Apart from the Republic Day ceremony, tickets can also be purchased for the Beating Retreat (full dress rehearsal). The Beating Retreat takes place three days after Republic Day, that is, 29 January in which bands of Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy march with traditional tunes. For the Beating Retreat, the tickets can be purchased till January 28 one day prior to the event.

Sale of tickets has already commenced from January 14.

The ticket counters are open daily from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. In addition, one ticket counter at Sena Bhavan will remain open until 7 p.m. from January 23 to 25, 2022. Republic Day Parade 2022: For 2nd Year in A Row, No Chief Guest at R-Day Parade Due to COVID-19 Surge 

Tickets will be available at Sena Bhawan (Gate 2), Pragati Maidan (Gate 1), Jantar Mantar (Main Gate), Shastri Bhawan (near Gate 3), Jamnagar House (opposite India Gate) and Parliament House Reception Office, special counter for Members of Parliament.

Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card or government-issued identity card must be presented in order to purchase tickets.
