Zee Rishtey Awards 2020: Jay & Rithvik’s ‘Caged & Covid’ Opening Act Causes A Laugh Riot Among Fans

For decades, Zee TV has been the flag-bearer of entertainment for millions of Indian audiences. As for 2020, while the world went through a tough phase, Zee TV shows and its actors came closer to the fans. Keeping audiences engaged and entertained during the pandemic was indeed a hefty task these actors and crew members took up. Considering this, wrapping the year 2020 in style, Zee TV hosted Zee Rishtey Awards to honour the most talented actors, creators, writers, directors and everyone else associated to the platform. Apart from the award ceremony, it was indeed the special performances of our favourite stars that stood out.

Right off the bat, actor Jay Bhanushali took the center stage looking sharp in a black suit and he stole the show. Jay’s opening act began when he came onto the stage locked in a cage and delivered some beautiful one-liners before being freed by our favourite actress Supriya Shukla. Jay being the sharp gentleman returned the favour by gifting her a couplet of how charmingly good she looked in a white and red saree.

The act was just getting started when a group of PPE kit donned people came on stage and began sanitizing the venue. An angry Jay called out and one of the men started crying. However, the joke was on us as the crying cleaner turned out to be actor Rithvik Dhanjani and the duo had together put up a show. The friends reunited on stage and put up a great show for fans to enjoy.

For those unaware, Zee Rishtey Awards 2020 was hosted in Mumbai on December 5 and was telecasted on 27th December on Zee TV. With tons of entertainment and memorable moments, the Zee family wrapped up 2020 in style.
