Recently, she signed for the role of a lady cop for the remake of Thadam and talked about how she holds the image of Tabu from Drishyam as an inspiration for this role.

Mrunal talked in an interview about, how she admired Tabu’s performance in ‘Drishyam.’ The first thing that came to her was how ferocious and aggressive the uniformed character was. Donning a character’s uniform, she believes, is a responsibility. She can’t wait to get started. Thadam remake is being shot in Gurgaon by Vardhan Ketkar who will be debuting in the film.

Mrunal also said that she comes from a family of police officers. Except for her father, everyone was a police official. It was good to show off her relatives’ lifestyle, as she grew up with them.
