Long gone are the days when Asawari from Aggabai Sasubai was a timid and shy woman. She has now become the total opposite and fans are loving her for it. We think she is one of the most inspiring characters of Marathi TV shows and many people look up to her. Her journey is truly remarkable and it makes us adore her even more. We think many people can take inspiration from here, here’s why.

1. Her struggle story

She used to be a single mother who was responsible for Soham and their household. Despite being financially poor, she ensured that Soham leads a comfortable life. She never let Soham feel he is missing out on anything and sacrificed her career so that Soham could succeed in his. Isn’t that a sign of strength?

2. Defeating the odds

When she fell in love with Abhijit at an older age, everyone, including her family mocked her. They called her names and judged her character. But, Asawari fought for her love fiercely and ultimately ended up marrying Abhijit thus defying all the social norms of society.

3. She’s a true leader

Now that she is a successful businesswoman, she has many employees including her own son. However, she is never partial to him. She treats him like any other employee and berates him publicly when he is wrong. She pushes her other employees to do better. She also motivates others who do not have the courage to voice their business ideas in front of a large group.

4. She balances her work and personal life well

Very few people are able to strike the perfect balance between their professional and personal lives. Asawari is one of them, she is not only good at what she does work-wise, but she is an amazing wife, caring mother and a doting grandmother as well.

5. She uplifts other women

We’ve seen a lot of female characters who try to tear down other female characters but Asawari isn’t one of them. When Rashmi came to her home complaining about her abusive husband, everyone asked her to go back to him except Asawari. She asked her to stand up for herself and to fight for her rights. That is something we could all take some lessons on.
