Akshay Kumar Unveils First-look Poster Of ‘Ram Setu’, Confirms Onset Of A Special Journey

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has finally begun shooting for his next venture Ram Setu and the piece of good news was announced by the actor himself via social media. The Housefull actor, took to Twitter on Tuesday to unveil the first look of his character from the film. While sharing the update, Akshay coupled his Ram Setu first-look poster with a heartwarming note. Find more about it in the video below:

Hailing Ram Setu as one of his most special films, Akshay Kumar informed his fans that the journey has finally begun. Talking more about his character in the film, the actor revealed that he will essay the role of an archaeologist. In the picture shared, the actor can be seen giving nerdy vibes donning glasses. Akshay had completely revamped his look with long hair, a wrinkled face and traces of grey hair that establishes he will portray the role of an ageing man. He appears to be wearing a dull t-shirt which is topped with a stole wrapped around his neck. Check out the announcement here:

In a previous interview, the Khiladi actor described Ram Setu as a film that “bridges between generations past, present and future”. On the other hand, the director of the film Abhishek Sharma said that “Akshay sir plays an archaeologist and his look and character is inspired by several Indian and international professional archaeologists who work in the field. In terms of both look and character, Akshay sir’s fans are in for a totally new avatar of his.”

Apart from Akshay Kumar, Nushrrat Bharuccha and Jacqueline Fernandez will headline the female leads in the cast. Speaking of which, the director said, “They both play strong, independent women with well-etched out parts. We are keeping their looks under wraps for now”. Meanwhile, on the professional front, Akshay has a slew of projects in the pipeline. The actor has already completed the shooting of Bachchan Pandey and Atrangi Re. Amidst this, he is also gearing up for the release of his high-anticipated action flick Sooryavanshi.
