Amitabh Bachchan’s Office Gets Flooded As Cyclone Taukate Hits Mumbai

Cyclone Tauktae continues to wreak havoc in different parts of the country, and it seems like even Bollywood is starting to get affected by it. Actor Amitabh Bachchan took to his blog to inform his followers that the actor’s bungalow in Janak was flooded on Monday night due to the cyclone. The effects of the cyclone were at the worst on the night as large parts of Mumbai were flooded at the time. The veteran actor wrote that we are going through an emergency and it is important that people remain safe during this time.

Amitabh Bachchan on Monday night wrote in his blog about the havoc the cyclone had wreaked inside his office building. The actor informed his followers that the water rushed in and caused a lot of problems. However, he wrote that his staff are all safe thanks to their ability to work together in such a dire situation. He also mentioned in his blog how ‘sheds and shelters for some staff’ were ‘blown away’.
“There is an eerie silence in the midst of the Cyclone .. the pounding and the lashing rains all day .. trees fell, leakages all over, flooding in the vulnerable Janak Office .. impromptu plastic cover sheets still in prep for the heavy Monsoon rain, ripped apart .. sheds and shelters for some staff blown away,” he wrote.

The actor said that his staff acted quickly and was able to salvage themselves. The renowned actor also said that he offered them clothes from his own wardrobe after their clothes all got drenched during the rescue process. He wrote that they were all moving around ‘proudly as Chelsea and Jaipur Pink Panther supporters’.
On the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan will be next seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. It was confirmed earlier that his film Chehre, which also stars Emraan Hashmi and Rhea Chakraborty, has been postponed due to the second wave of COVID-19. He is also set to be featuring in Ajay Devgn’s directorial venture May Day.
