At the beginning of the film, it resembles Chinya’s lonesomeness and grief. And nearing the climax, the same setting shines like a new beginning of his life.

Nude

Nude follows the story of a mother named Yamuna who deals with the hardships of the city. Her only aim is to provide better education to her son. And thus she enlists as a nude model at an arts college. But problems arise when her secret life comes to light. In the near climax scene, we see a heartfelt conversation between Yamuna and Jairam, an art student. They both are at a seashore, it’s raining heavily, and amid this Yamuna takes an unexpected decision.

This scene shapes up as an exciting climax while living up to its prominent theme ‘art in the modern world’. Director Ravi Jadhav dissolves the romanticism of rain through this interesting scene.

Vihir

Children dealing with the grief of death is an interesting theme the film Vihir embodies. Two cousins, Sameer and Nachiket share a great bond with each other. Writing letters, discussing life, science, etc. is what these two boys are often involved in. Problems arise when Nachiket is found dead and Sameer finds it quite hard to deal with this loss. Here, filmmaker Umesh Kulkarni uses rains and silent frames as a metaphor for Sameer’s grief.

Also, during the climax, when Sameer meets an old farmer, the film uses rain as an element of problems and grief, & the climax leaves a mark on the viewers.
