“Beware”, Says Shabana Azmi After Being Conned By Fraudsters Claiming To Be From A Liquor Company

With the introduction of digital payments and easy access to money, the number of fraudsters misusing them has also increased drastically. Lately, a lot of people, especially those who aren’t tech-savvy have fallen prey to such conmen. Unfortunately, veteran actress Shabana Azmi has become one of the latest victims of such a scam. Sharing her experience on Twitter, the actress has exposed the fraudsters while also urging Mumbai Police to take strict action against them.

Shabana Azmi recently took to Twitter to expose an online payment scam while asking her fans to watch out. The actress claimed to have been cheated by an online liquor selling company, Living Liquidz, who refused to deliver the product after getting paid online. She also shared the account details to which the payment was made.

Clarification issued
Later, the actress traced down the actual owners of Living Liquidz. That’s when it was revealed that she was scammed by some fraudsters claiming to be from the company, but had nothing to do with it. She then urged Mumbai Police and the Cyber Crime department to look into the matter.
Finally traced the owners of @living_liquidz & it turns out that the people who cheated me are fraudsters who have nothing to do with Living Liquidz! Statement from the real Director of Living Liquidz
Meanwhile, Moksh S Saini, Director, Living Liquidz also issued a statement saying, “It is extremely unfortunate that there are several people out there who are using not just our name but also of other liquor stores and circulating fake numbers to dupe customers into transferring money in exchange for product and we sincerely hope that the authorities can bring these criminals to justice.”
